How to use homegrown Aloe? Couple other questions

I grow my own aloe, I know you can use the “meat” straight or make powders and such.

- How much “meat” per gallon?
-How do you guys foliar with homegrown aloe?

I transplanted into my 4x4 bed like 10 days ago, I want to flip to flower shortly.

-Any suggestions on your defoliation process?
-Should I Topdress anything shortly?

Have you ever made it into a powder before? I was thinking about doing that, if it’s worth it that is

I make and use fresh Aloe powder in veg. I cut the whole leaf into 1/2" slivers, place on parchment paper in a pan, put in oven for 275° and let cook until dry but not completely dry. Then grind in coffee grinder, let that powder dry completely and store in a jar. Works very well for me at 1 teaspoon per gallon.

I use yucca capsules, already take it to help with insulin resistance, just bust open 2 caps in a spray bottle with whatever your foliar(mines kelp/fish, or just kelp)

you are destroying a lot of the beneficial compounds in aloe by baking it.

Thank you I actually did not know that until after I posted, I read the fermentation method which led me to ask myself all types of questions like what temperature destroys microbial activity and it is no more than 95°C or 203° F for no longer than 2 minutes. I went and looked up the patented and approved methods so I could be sure. That's what we are all here to do is learn so I appreciate it. Here is a link to multiple methods that take biological activity into account my apologies I will remove that shit method post. Edit: I can't it has been too long.


Also, I'm actually trying to make the conversion from Advanced Nutrients to organic so I need all the help I can get. When I started thats what I began with was AN and as I progressed I saw there were far superior methods that bottled nutrients could never offer. I use soil so if you have any trusted methods or recipes I would really appreciate it.

Hopefully you use it for all the non grow related uses too. That stuff is heaven if your dumb enough to get sunburned like I do a couple times a yr
