This is entirely in conflict with your earlier "I'm a libertarian and want small government, low taxes". Whatever you want to call the Canadian government, it is not small government, low taxes. It's a social democracy with very large social programs, their healthcare system being one.

If you are advocating the US migrate toward being a social democracy then we are in good agreement.

Well again my views as a small government person are shaped by my experience and the way things are, not how they should be. As it stands the U.S. government has not proven itself trustworthy when spending other peoples' money. If they could work toward becoming more efficient and gaining my trust i supposed my views on all government spending related issues would drastically change. I guess a good way to put it is that I know that the liberal spending wishlist are all great ideas and very doable and I agree with it, but don't believe the government is capable of following through of handling things efficiently.

None of this makes sense. Except maybe you don't think the US can govern itself, which right now is true.

You pay into it for a set time usually 30 years to get full benefits. After 30 years they write you a check every week until you die, when you die your spouse gets a check til she dies.

I don't know which pension will help a less than median wage earner with two kids save enough to retire on. Point it out to me and tell me how a median wage earner can fund it. What return do you assume? What guarantees does the saver have that the fund will be around when they need it?

They make sense to me. Except i never said i like canadian healthcare, or the canadian style of goverment (aside from them spending less money then the U.S. and spending it more efficiently). If you could elaborate on how those other things don't make sense and give me a fair chance to rebut them I'd appreciate it.

All of them. Its very simple math. Compound interest is a MF. When you invest money for 30 years at the historically average rate of return of the stock market over the last 120 years which is 10% per year, you'd be absolutely shocked. That's another problem that never gets talked about. The financial literacy in this country is astoundingly low. Its quite obvious you know very little about retirement accounts, and that makes you part of the majority. The "average wage earner" as you put it in this country drives a car that they can't afford and has 10's of thousands in credit card debt funding lifestyles that they can't afford. Take a car payment and invest it into an S&P 500 index fund every month for the next 30 years and I guarantee you will be a millionaire. You can find an interest calculator and do the math on that. But are you willing you drive a $5k car? I am.

That's the thing, ya don't disperse without a ticket and some you impound and detain people so they don't just move to another location. They are targeting organizers and ringleaders, they need to make it more painful and permeant though. They are trying to separate out the on lookers from the more serious nut cases. When they get to court it will be a repeat of the 1/6 insurrection in the states, with lot's of sniveling and being carried away with emotion etc.

By the way bro i want to give you some inspiration for the average wage earner.
I got out of prison after doing 4 years in 2018. I got a job as dishwasher, worked my way up to cook. I learned financial literacy in prison so i got myself a credit card and started using it responsibility to build credit. Within one year i purchased 2 houses at auction. Also found a better job at a meat plant making 22$ an hour. I learned how to fix the houses up myself and i was a landlord for a year before i sold them both just last month. Cleared 55k and quit my job last week to start up my own home inspection business..... It just takes work and determination my friend

Like I said before, we too seem to have a right wing cop problem here that will need to be looked into, unreliable, insubordinate cops are useless cops. Maybe they weren't stupid enough to act on a weekend though, when crowds are at a maximum and in daytime when kids will be present.

The grassroots counter protests have also begun, people aren't happy with the cops and with a bit of organization they could be very large. Let's see how our freshly motivated cops will do, some must know people are pissed about this and they might be answerable to an inquiry one day.
