It turned out to be a pain.
But all valuable experience, if defoliating drops the humidity sufficiently any potential loss becomes irrelevant for the peace of mind.
I've not seen rot in years but the possibility of it still keeps me on edge.
I'm not saying it's the case but it's looking to me like bud rot is more of a plant health problem than 60/70% humidity, when I think back it was always the plant that had been scorched with light or nutrient that got rot never in the lower canopy where humidity is naturally higher.
