Grow box setup with a dual 150w HPS # t5 hood

I am building a grow box for this light.

It has 2 150w HPS lights and 4 t5's. I am thinking since the ballast is built in to the hood a lot of heat will be on the top of the hood. My idea was to make a frame around it out of wood. So it sits over a hole that is the right size to support the light. This way a lot of the heat is totally outside of the grow box. Anybody got ideas?
I was thinking that one problem would be to make it light tight. It seems like if I could screw something to the hood such that it was wider. Like some sheet steel.
Any body have any experiences with these hoods?

Where are you getting that light from and how much is it if you don't mind me asking.

Sorry I don't have anything helpful to share.

you can do that, mount it at the top (outside) kinda or inset in the top so it's not throwin heat into the box, you might need a piece of glass to put between the hood and the box. if you do that you are going to want to raise your plants up somehow to get them as close as you can to the light without burning them. so you might want to think of that..
