Looks nothing like the SSH I had from The Greenhouse 20 years ago . Looks good but not like SSH . Mine always went 80 days or so .

NO. Some Super Silver Haze phenos are done in as many as 56 days.
Ive been growing Mr Nice SSH for 10 years straight. I have a pheno thats Ivve kept for 10 years, and is it could bedone in 63 days. All kinds of phenos are done in under 70 days.
It may have long flowering Haze in it, but it also has shorter flowering Sk1, and NL5 in it, so theres going to be phenos from all of them.
The pheno I have from 10 years ago grows fast, stretches like hell in flowering, and is done in 9 weeks. From my point of view that cut looks like it could be SSH to me.
Id believe your friend if he says its SSH

Ok thanks for the info its reassuring to know that it might not take too long.. And yeah from other pics I've seen online of ssh i think it looks quite similar but dont really know

I F2d 2 full packs of Mr Nice SSH seeds, and went through 250 females to pick the pheno I kept. There were many phenos that went less that 70 days.
I mainly went for an early flowering, fast growing, super stretch pheno with buds like NL5. The pheno I kept will stretch 5x its size in flowering, thus decreasing the veg time. Buds are as big around as a 2 litre pop bottle, and 18 inches or more long.
I also grow trees in 20 gallon pots of Promix BX. I veg and flower under a 1000w Hortilux HPS. The plants see a 1000w Hortilux as soon as the pop the soil. Light is at 24 inches above seedlings.

I also dont top mine, I just bend them over, and they grow into a huge round bush. Ivee done a best of 22oz from one plant in a 4 x 4, with a 1000w Hortilux HPS. Vegged from clone for 60 days, and 20 gallons of soil.
I start them in 32oz Uline Deli Containers, transplant them into 5 gallon containers for veg, and then transplant them again into a 20 gallon container for flowering. Im runnin a 1000w Hortilux, a 1150w gavita DE, and a DE 1000w CMH for my flowering lights. I veg with both a 1000w Hortilux, and a 645w Gavita 1700e. I mainly veg in the 5 gallons containers because I can deal with them easier than I can 20 gallon containers, and I can get more plants under the lights with 5 gallon containers. I can get 6-7 plants in 20 gallon containers under th 3 lights, and I can squeeze 5 more around the perimiter using 5 gallon containers. I can get about 85oz every 63 days like this. About a week short of 6 harvests a year if every thing goes right.
I also have an old Barneys Farm G13 x Haze cut from 2009 that grows, and produces similar results. It stinks more than the SSH, but the new BF G13 x Haze isnt the same.
By comparison I have a 2004 cut of AK47, and it will produce at best 14oz using the same method, but is 2x stronger than either the SSH, and Barneys gear. I prefer the AK47 by a great deal, but I like the production of the the other 2. The AK47 also reeks a huge amount more. If youve got an oz in the car, and the wind is blowing right, you can smell it a 100 feet away. I also have a cross of the AK47, and pre 2000 NL5 that also reeks similarly, and potency wise. The pure AK47 has an Anise Seed, and hash flavor, and reeks of cat piss, and the cross tastes like flowers, and hash, and smells like cat piss and flowers.
SSH is one of the best producers Ive found.
My SSH also has really good internode spacing, and isnt lanky. I keep the 1000w Hortilux about 20 inhes from the canopy, 24 inches for seedlings, and 38-40 inches for the DE Gavita, and 38 inches for the DE CMH. The Gavita can get very hot, and throws out a huge amount of Infrared.
I also use 2x Solacure Flower Power UVA/UVB bulbs per 4 ft area, and I also use them in veg. They run 4-6 hours under the Hortilux, and 8 hours uner the CMH, and DE Gavita because those 2 lights have to be run further away.
Also if you have a plant that stretches alot, and have a low ceiling, simply veg it less. IMHO a plant that stretches alot in flower cuts down on veg time.
Ive also got a cut of 2006 Willie Nelson. Its a 100 day flower, and it will stretch 7=8 times its size at flowering. Its a huge producer, on par, if not better than the SSH, or G13 x Haze. I usually start it on 12/12because it gets so huge. Its not feasable outside whre I live though. Its not done until mid November outside. Id say it would get 15 feet tall outside, and 10 feet wide.
I got the best Ive ever done from it out of a 5 gallon container. It produced 16oz in a 5 gallon container. I dont see why not. Some plants though have stiff stems, and will snap like a pencil. Thats why is best to start bending them over really early. I also dont mess with the growing tip much. I bend them from about 20% down. If you constantly muck with the growing tip, it has a similar affect as topping them, though you do keep the growing tip. I also shake my plants to make the stems, and branches stronger. But not enough to break them. I do give them a good jolt everyday though. From vegging plants, up until about day 20 of flowering. Then I leave them alone. After about 20 days their done stretching anyway.
C99 was a plant I found I really had to start bending early because the stems will snap like a pencil. Most SSH phenos Ive seen are very ompliant to bending. C99 not so much.
Also by comparison, I only get about 6-7 oz from C99 in a 20g container, grown the same way. Its really good weed though. Pineapple flavor.
Ive also noticed some plants dont like being bent for some reason. And it slows their growth.

Yes I was lazy this time and let them get fairly large And leggy. Do you know if you can just snap then in half and they get a knot in the middle? Or is that a bad idea

Id not snap them. I think some people slightly smash them, and gently roll them between their fingers. Ive been bending mine since the 80s. Ive tried topping them, but IMHO it extnds veg time. It can work, but like I said, it extends veg time.

Yeah. SSH is a good, but you get everything from 7 week phenos to 16+ week phenos.
