Leaf Yellowing

I had similar leaf yellowing in my first grow but it was an auto and it made it through with a good harvest.
This is my second grow and it is a Phishwreck photo in day 17 of flower. I have a 2'x2'x6' grow space, 5gal fabric pot in Happy Frog and perlite, Light is a Viparspectra P1000, 4” Inline fan. Temps are 72F with 35RH. I have well water and it checks at pH 6.8 and I'm feeding 1tsp calmag, 2tsp FF Trio (ea) and give 48oz every 3 to 4 days.
Is this something I should be concerned about?

5 gallon bags should require 1.25 gallons of feed or water. Your watering with about 1/3 of a gallon. Mix up at least a half strength feeding. Take a skewer and tear that medium up. Pierce it everywhere including under the plant. Especially under the plant.

Slowly water in the feeding. Very slowly. Evenly all the way around. Leave it alone for a few days and watch it. Again with 1-1/4 gallons. Pierce the medium between feedings or water. It keeps the root zone aerated. It allows more even saturation with feeds.

48oz is definitely not enough water for how mature that plant is. Personally I think putting the skewed to the roots is a bit extreme, that space looks perfect for a SOG setup to really get a harvest

I just checked the cup I've been using and its actually 20oz so I've been giving 60oz not 48. (I do 3 cups in my watering can).
Regardless I understand it sounds like it is not enough so I'll bump it up. I do water really slow and allow the soil to absorb and dont get a lot leaching out of the side of the bag. I make sure I water all around and watch the water draining out of the bottom when im done. It seems to absorb and drain well so i dont think the soil is compacted. This is the first photo I have grown and I flipped when she was about 30" hoping for a target height of ~40" but she keeps growing so I went from a 2x2x4 to 2x2x6 hut and now have lots of head height. Thanks for the responses!

Everyone's always talking about overwatering these days, but the constant reiteration of "make sure you don't Overwater your plants" leads too under watering far too often from what I see.

Under watering generally leads to acidic pH, which leads to lockout and salt buildup.

If you are measuring from the floor, the bag is about 12" tall so that means your plant was about 18" tall when flipped. It will keep stretching for another week or so, and could end up 36" tall (plus the bag for a total of 48" high). That would be way too close to your light in a 60" tent.

I bought FF HF and the Trio for my first grow as I read great reviews on it and then my wife surprised me with two more bags but I'll try another next time. I realized it was going to exceed my target height of 40" so my new grow space is now 72" (2'X2'X6') so that should be plenty of headroom (i hope!). Im trying to force smaller plants as I only do a few hits a day and I dont need a huge harvest. I also did my first clone attempt from this plant and ended up with 6 really nice ones but then since this momma plant is in flower Im using my original (48") hut to veg them in (have given some away.)
Anyway I see a comment on magnesium and phosphorous. Im giving her 1tsp per gal calmag - do I need to increase that or should get some straight up magnesium as well as a phosphorous? Should I be trying to treat this at this phase or just up my watering and let her go?
Thanks again. LM

Went through the same thing (and have now reversed the yellowing to new leaves coming out nice and super green) and even though the pH of the water was good the soil was way to acidic. Just remember once the leaves yellow up they're like that for good so no telling if what you did to fix it worked, only for the new leaves will you be able to tell. If you have a way to check your soil out then that would be a good start to recovery. I have the same soil, PM me if you'd like some more input.

When I was using the FF nutes, I always used 1 tsp. cal-mag per gallon, in veg and flower. However, I just switched to GH Flora Nova Grow and Bloom, because I've had so many issues with FF. The GH Flora Nova have cal-mag included in the formula. So far, I'm happy with the grow formula results, just about to start a new flower crop, we'll see how it goes.

Also looking at different potting soils, since my last bag of Ocean Forest was full of fungus gnat eggs, and I've been battling the damn things for an entire flower cycle (yes, I've tried everything including mosquito bits). Sterilizing potting soil in the kitchen is a step I'd rather not take on a regular basis.

The 72" tent will have enough height for your plants as long as you don't veg them too long, I wouldn't let them get any taller than 18" or they will be too tall after stretch.

I get the fungas gnats no matter what I use, they seem to be everywhere here in the valley. If your using the Flora Nova then a good CoCo Coir might be what your looking for.

I've thought about coco, but I don't think I want to commit to watering every day. I used air pots for the first time on this grow with fungus gnats, the air holes on the sides were like hotel california for the gnats, they are coming and going thru all those holes. Going back to fabric pots. Thank you!
