Does the perfect plant exist?

Much like the perfect woman, I have been on the search for years with no success. Maybe my standards are high? Or maybe its true when they say variety is the spice of life.

Or the old saying may ring true "I dont care how fine she is, someone out there is sick of f*cking her" No offense to the ladies out there.

Anyway, I can always fine something I dont like about every cut I have ever grown. Maybe she doesnt clone easy. Lacks in smell, taste, or potency. Veg's slow. Too much stretch, not enough.. But still checks the majority of boxes I look for but not all. You know..

We can talk seed stock but more interested in readily available clones. I can get my hands on just about anything that's popular.

My closest at perfection was a cut called Lava Cake out of black sheep farms in California.

Great structure, yielded decent, cloned easy, perfect amount of stretch, potent, but fell short in the smell and taste.

I have been growing 20 plus years. Hundreds if not thousands of seeds (never again), I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on elite clones, which I do have a lot of keepers but can tell you a flaw in every single one. Wishing I was a mad scientist and could isolate traits and combine them together, but will never happen. No breeding comments please, been down that road before and its not as easy as crossing two nice plants. Never works that way.

Does anyone have or grown what they would call the perfect plant or do you think it really exists or am I just chasing a dream? Just a fun thread with opinions.

Only excellence is obtainable in this world. There is no be-all and end-all plant. It always depends on your standard, preferences, and goals for each. This is why many so called "Keepers" vary in standard. If you are strictly a connoisseur, then any other factors but taste, potency, and smells should be annulled. Commercial? Then you need the structure, yield, and ease of growing. Why is it that the Pre-2k blueberry everyone wants to rave about is gone? Blueberry is finicky, slow to veg, and slow to clone. The best plants are always the ones grown with love.

For me it will always be NYC Piff, Johnny Blaze (blueberry haze - nevilles haze x blueberry), and pre 2000 blueberry.

If I could only smoke/grow those strains the rest of my life (all 3 or just any 1 of them) I would.

Sure, theres better more potent stuff than all 3 (although pre 2000 blueberry REALLY used to be strong) but all 3 had perfect flavors that youd just want to taste all day and were no slouch on potency either. I'd definitely take nyc piff last out of these and that REALLY says something because I absolutely LOVE nyc piff.

But for me the overall taste, smell, look, quality of high - all of those strains are unmatched.

Marijuana is only capable of so much. With that in mind, I've grown many wonderful plants, some I recall easily. I've grown a few that pretty much sucked. I believe I could name them all. I feel like the majority of weed available by seed or clone these days will get me about as stoned as anything else, because weed only gets you so far. After that, it's preferences. JMO

Give me a 6week sour d reeking of gas with a heavy yield and I'd call that the perfect plant..... 100s of packs of seeds over the last 20 years have me thinking the perfect plant doesn't exist.

Its a hard one cos what might be perfect to you might not appeal to everyone all down to personal taste i suppose really
I get it and there is no right answer. I was just curious if anyone has ever found the perfect plant in their own opinion.

Don't let wazzup fool you. I have had many really good plants, and women for that matter. But I could find a flaw in each, where if that flaw could be eliminated, it might be prefect to me.
