Issues with Florida Medical Marijuana

Hello Everyone...
I am here to ask you for your help. I am the brother of a cancer victim, the brother of a cancer survivor and the husband of a wife with ovarian cancer. While going through the worst times in my life, I saw issues that need to be changed for all of us. I saw dispensaries that were cold and made me feel like I was buying from a street dealer, I saw prices that were 6x-9x what they are in Colorado, I saw physicians who charged 3x more than a regular doctor's appointment, I saw a lack of education and compassion from budtenders, I saw a lack of all around affordability and most of all..... in my suffering, I saw that this system and the greedy Pot Barons' getting rich off of the ill, needs a wake up call. With that, I'm asking you to share your personal experiences and how you think the system could be improved for everyone's benefit. I also agree with the things I read in this article, but want to hear from you.

Eventually, I'd like to make a connection with several people willing to write letters for me stating from personal experience what they would like to see changed and why. Because I'm new on the forums, I'll state that I'm a retired firefighter-paramedic who's cashed in his pension with a few other guys like myself. We are going to make a change and impact the Florida market. Like my entire career, it should be about the people who need help the most......

I'm sitting here with the worst pain from my knee I've ever experienced. We voted in good faith for the amendment. The State Republican Legislators took it twisted it to conform to the State's pocketbook. We have choices for politicians who see the common person's problem. Vote for Dana Cottrell and Bernie Sanders in the primaries to insure rights are instilled at the Federal level. The FL AG just sits and whines about the Federal Law. Salute the FL Democrats like AG Commissioner Nickki Fried who really feel our pain. The current plan is a disgrace to the Democratic system of Govt. I was really hoping for a plan like MI enjoys for patients that allows home growing ( 12plants ) and allowing caregivers. Republicans have always blocked out anything but their own narrow unfounded hatred for anyone to consume marijuana.

Even if we could write the best letter ever written that would make the Conies' eyes just pop out of their head it would never be taken seriously or even read. The Govt has over stepped it's Constitutional alligiance by making Marijuana illegal for over 100 years.
They don't want to ever give this power up because without it people would be able to make up their own minds about it. The only hope we have is next election where if given enough signatures Regulate Florida will at least give the opportunity to vote.️

Sad reality:

No one cares about you or the sick. They care about profit. Once legalized they are taxed by each hand they touch. Even the good guys cant do it legally for a fair price because of all the taxes and regulations.

I wish you were closer. I have helped out people in need and I know a few others in Michigan that supply good clean meds for people who really need it at no costs. Their still are good people out there and I hope you can find one.

Everyone wanted legalization. What we really needed was decriminalization. Where one could grow and sell like a vegetable at the farmers market.

I see where you are at. After sampling several so called "medical marijuana treatment centers" in the area I found nothing to alleviate my pain. I feel betrayed by the Democrats for allowing something that is clearly not medicine and then lining their pockets with our money. I salute the Michigan referendum that allows patients the right to grow. What they call OG and the OG from my flower pot are two very different varieties to say the least. ⚕

Democrats lost all power in 1999 in Florida. There's what's called a Trifecta ever since. So who makes the laws again?

The Agriculture Commissioner, Nikki Fried a Democrat and her band of cronies oversee the meds. At least the stuff tastes good on pizza and is safe to eat. I really don't think any of the stuff was meant to smoke. I'm glad I can at least get a seed in the mail.

Trump tard alert
Woop woop woop

This is like the thousandth time you've mentioned trump when noone else did, and then tried to tell them they aren't welcome here because of their criticism of the government. It's getting old. You are aware that people can have issues with a democratic government and not be a trump supporter right?

Everyone is allowed a political choice. You cant keep telling people they aren't welcome and to leave the site due to their political beliefs. The country is split 50/50. I don't think there has been a single time in my life I would expect someone to be stripped of their rights to exist on a site because of their political affiliation. I would never let a political difference come between me or anyone I know.

Childish.

Dog whistles will not be ignored

he put “the Democrat and her cronies “ and that was political
Sorry I love this country and don’t accept anyone waving a flag as being a patriot cause libertarians are not patriots.

Let's take politics somewhere else OK. Florida medical is still evolving and we'll live with what we have. The real point here is the Government made marijuana illegal a hundred plus years ago over a stupid plant. We would have had medicine many years sooner had it not been for that. Today I went to Grow Healthy and found a decent 8th for $30. Free Enterprise and competition will yield better products with time.

What do you care? According to you, it's just "a stupid plant".

Ya, I guess if I don't detail every word there is always another meaning. My bad. It's just another plant in the plant kingdom that is quite inconsequential in appearance to other plants. The Government chose it not because of it's biological nature but purely a political reason and no other. They have done so for generations giving no scientific evidence to support anything they claim to be truth.

Hey, just wanted to post this so everyone will know why Schumer hasn't passed any marijuana bills in the Senate. Now it includes rhetoric from FL politicians who really want legalization and you might be interested in what they believe to be the problem.
