I can confirm that soaking a seed in a shotty of tap water also works. But I agree with bam that right into media is best IMO. I personally use solo cups filled w coco, and wait about 3 weeks before transplanting into 3gal to finish.Yes but right to media is best imo. I’ve heard tap is better because of anti microbial properties
Huh? You need h2o for seedlings none of the extra stuff that comes with it from well water or municipal water. That is the point of Reverse Osmosis filtration it removes practically everything except water.. I don't understand what you mean by "ro is meant to remove just that"..Alot of the shit you strip out with ro is meant to remove just that
You don't want Chlorine in the levels it comes out of the tap. I'm from Flint I know.Chlorine and such it’s there for pathogens and microbes
You don't want any water that comes out of the tap in Flint. Did anyone ever go to jail for that? You don't want Chlorine in the levels it comes out of the tap. I'm from Flint I know.
Unless....I don't soak seeds but just plant them direct and water with straight tap water. I've been using tap water for decades and my water contains both chlorine and chloramine with a pH of around 8. I never have any issue with seeds germinating.
