Light cycle

I use to go with 20/4 but now I go 24hrs for the first week/10 days then introduce a night cycle before they show sex and start to stretch.

If you lower the lighting hours during the stretch period it’ll promote stretching

Autos can handle any light cycle you chose....allowing you to fit to YOUR life schedule. Most seem to run 20/4 or 18/6.
Being retired and all that other shit that comes with age, I personally choose to run 12/12 which lets me run photos alongside for shits and grins and for comparisons....
Keeping primary parameters like dli, ppfd , hum, etc in spec keeps my plants healthy and provides plenty of quality meds.

Nutty, yeah that’s what I’m thinking for the first run if I can even fit them my one ice cream is taking over the tent. I had some really issues with her, I got ahold of some bad bytes, boy she did not like that. I landed up taking her out of the pot and rinsing her and replanted. Hopefully she’ll be ok.

So, how do they compare?

Hi I never grew autos before. I’m wondering what light schedule do you use for autos? Thanks
My thoughts are it depends on what lights you are using.

If using low powered LED's, CFL's, or T5's it may be best to run 24/0

If using high powered LED's, HPS, MH, CMH it's likely best to run 20/4 or 18/6

Also temperature can be a consideration, if your room is on the cool side, run 24/0, if your room is on the warm side, run 18/6 or 20/4.

Thanks for all your input. I looked up Siberia lights cycles, they have some short days.April 13-15 hours. May 15.5-16.5,June is the most 18-18.5 hours.Just some weird information. I will most likely go with 20/4 as long as no Photos in there. One more thing I read doing a 18/6 light cycle if you turn your lights off at the hottest hours of the day he said you can save 25% on electricity. I don’t know about that.

That's the beauty of a controlled environment
