Hello everyone, I wanted to share my visit with today one of our fellow Oklahoma Growers, RIU member and a generally Great Guy! I made the drive to Southern Oklahoma and met with DoubleAtotheRON and he was gracious enough to give me and my son a tour of his beautiful property and grow operation. Many of you know him and he is held in high regard on this forum for helping many many members. I know a few of you already know but he has started a side enterprise in his spare time. For those that don't know I'd like to introduce you officially to Compound Custom Canes. FB page Compound Custom Canes | Facebook These are handmade custom one-off walking staffs and canes handcrafted to your specifications. Each staff/cane is made from a locally grown Cannabis stalk. And they arent just to look at, they are strong and functional! ( I used mine all afternoon) The creativity, care and attention to detail is remarkable and worthy of being handed down from generation to generation. These are truly special attention getters and sure to strike up much conversation. I say special but special just doesn't describe it. I thank Double A so much for this piece that will be an heirloom in my family (my son has already laid claim to it) . I wanted to show picture's here but I would rather you go to his Facebook page "Like it" and look at them yourself and then hit the contact button to see what they can do for you. A few pictures only as a teaser! That Facebook page AGAIN (lol) was Compound Custom Canes

Quick backstory behind this... I was larfing up the room back in May, and tossed all of my cuttings into the compost pile (8x60ft).. and before I knew it, this Citradelic Sunset popped up as a volunteer. I planted 11 other retired mothers beside her, and they all did well, but this one... this one got really huge. OutLaw had told me earlier this year he'd love to have a "Strain Cane".. but they are always sold out. I mentioned that If I ever had a good candidate stalk, I'd make him one. Low and behold, this monster comes along. I dried it out for a month, and went to work on it. A fun project, and hope to do more!.. and knowing that this will be passed down to other generations is pretty cool.

No shit. The fact his son already claimed it has to make you feel good. That's freaking cool as hell.

I won't hold your being an Okie against you. My mother's family were dust bowl refugees! You do lovely work. Do you have any more pictures of your work? I'd love to see them and I'll bet I'm not the only one.
This was my first of I hope to be many builds… it takes time and good quality stalks, but here’s some detail I did on this one.. some spots I did crushed shell fiberglass resin inlay with stones, metal, brass shavings, etc. F086F4F7-6A92-47A8-A5C5-AD528F7D9D41.jpegA7B1FBF2-EA48-41A2-913D-B3BD5C64BAF9.jpeg4E265584-2489-48DA-A259-492C0DACB111.jpegC2F1FDF7-1D8E-478D-B670-5A7139B4651A.jpeg6F212A57-F937-45D8-8036-F33E7979F241.jpeg

Funny you should say that... I thought for days how I could make a spliff holder in the handle, but, I had already done the inlay, and I didn't know if it would crack if I tried to drill through it, so I held back.... I didn't want to mess up what I had already done. ... But, there's always next time :p
