Strange bug

I thought it was a thrip, 2 or so months ago when i sprouted the seed. Caught one flying around a propogation dome just after cloning. Not thrips because the rear legs are too far back and i would have leaf damage by now. Any guesses? Its fox farm happy frog

Everyone had great answer, but I've come to the conclusion it is a Rove Beetle. Sadly I murdered our little friend who preys on thrips and fungus gnat larvae. Hopefully there are more.

Man,.. I wished I had a conveyer belt that would feed my soil into an oven, and come out clean. It'd solve alot of headaches.

It wasn't a rove beetle unless you melted the shit outta that little feller before you took that pic.

But there are over 4000 identified species ofmrove beetles, and the last pic he posted does look like one. I think he IDed it right. They look like earwigs without the pincers.

Look into getting a pizza oven. Pizza Hut and Papa John's both have the conveyor types.

Ya, that thumbnail pic does look like a rove beetle he killed. Those big pics just look like blobs to me. I didn't look at that tiny pic until you just said something.

Maybe get a side job at a Pizza Hut and secretly do late night dirt runs. The dough guy comes in early, so he has a key.

Those pizza ovens have like 4" of clearance. So that would be interesting, lol.

If you want to sterilize the soil, maybe just use some H2O2. I don't know. I've never tried to sterilize my soil. But that's gonna kill the good stuff that makes soil soil if you know what I mean.

Yeah it was madness. I was around 10. Sometimes there would be snakes or spiders, but it was usually earwigs.
