So did I? Until about 16 years old. I never found nothing like that. Maybe moldy weed I had to throw away. Back then you had stress chronic and kush. For my town.

Wrong. I was getting Chronic in the 80's. But ya, some places only have shit weed. But not where I grew up. Crazy thing is I didn't even know what Mex weed was until I moved to CA, lol.
There was some around in my early years, but first time i smoked was the early 90-s in Mass. Some of the kinds from vermont, dead shows when they were touring nearby. But mostly just brick here. Was pumped when i found my first steady supply of green brick, lol.
The West Coast in general has always been spoiled when it comes to weed going way back into the 60's.

Yuck...but makes sense really. The worst I saw was a small rock. I remember a lot of fine grit too at times. Thank God those days are over. Cisco Pike would be glad too.
I used to break down a lot of baled weed in the 80s I have found baseball size rocks, dead rats, shoes, big stems lots of mold an dirt most of the weed came from columbia nasty!!
