I liked at my grow area more closely and thought of a plan to get a bucket up above the pots so I'm going to go with the tropf system. I like your go of the maxis 2 each pot. I did start reading your thread but kid needed my attention so haven't finished it. Was wondering how much water are you going through??
I think they're just starting to drip last day or so. So I haven't hit the wet/dry cycle fully yet Put in 10 gals and haven't seen much of a drop in level yet
I have 20-something plants and altogether they only use about 4 gallons a day in early flower. Somewhere in there. It's dramatically less than hand watering.

He said 15 gallon pots, which probably means soil, which probably means he doesn't need to mix nutrients in a res. I overlooked that part. Blumats that are used to water soil straight out of pipe, especially in large pots, must make for a super easy grow.Agreed.
I use the bluemats and depend on them.
One can always hand water/feed at will anytime needed.
With a pressure reducer you can feed directly from a hose bib. No reservoir needed if setup properly.

With Blumat systems, a much lower pressure is required than that of other systems. Pressure reducers easily connect to a hose-bib or pressure pump.
I'm hoping because life gets in the way some times. So this should be a product I can lean on when the kid and puppies keep me running around. Just worried a 5gal bucket isn't big enough but it's all I can put on my shelf
I've never grown in soil, but 5 gallons for two plants should be fine. Soil drinks slowly, so you'll have plenty of time to catch it before it runs dry. Or you could use a pump or straight out of the water line as Lokie said. That of course depends on if you have a water line near your grow, and you're not mixing nutrients. You are using soil right? 15 gallons of coco would be crazy.

Yep, exactly. My res is sitting on my floor. The pump is attached to 1/2" tubing the goes upward out of a hole in my res' lid, then a 90 degree fitting, then another short piece of 1/2" tubing, then the reducer, then to the Blumats' 8mm Superflex hose. then the Blumats themselves.
Do you have pictures or link to some instructions? I need a bit more to figure it out. Once I see or read instructions I should be able to build it. Thanks!
