Recent Flip ppm question

Ok. So most of you guys are familiar with some of my recent threads. Where I discussed most of the issues I’ve had. Also the paths I’ve taken to correct those problems.
So Sunday night I decided to go ahead and flip to 12/12. Among recommendations from members here. I have followed their instructions. Moving forward. Sunday night I watered but not to run off. Flipped to 12/12. Today I watered until 20% runoff. Some ran off a bit more. Ph’d everything and the numbers were good. Checked the ppm and some were in the low 400’s and the max ppm on 1 was 780. I just watered an hour ago so I don’t want to water again due to overwatering. But on my next watering Saturday should I go ahead and start feeding these plants? One plant is starting to show issues and I want to remedy this as soon as possible. And I’ve learned from reading here on the site that once they start flowering they will need more nutes then what the current numbers read. I have Advanced Nutes Grow micro and bloom. But I’m thinking I need to start feeding these girls. Advice greatly appreciated. I got kinda confused by what you wrote, i.e., you said you watered and had PPM runoff, then wondered whether you should give nutes? I would use nutes all the time, unless you had salt build up and needed to flush.

It looks like your plant has a calcium deficiency.

The max EC I've seen recommended for bloom is 2500 µS/cm, but others say 2000 is tops. That's about 1000 PPM. Plus, if your runoff adds PPM, you might want to target 1000 PPM in the runoff, so you might find 750 PPM reaches that runoff goal.

I watered today until I got 20% runoff. So I put in a gallon of water and got about 20% in the drain pan. Tested that water and got my numbers.

I’ve read that the numbers should be around 900 ppm to a 1000 ppm at this stage like you mentioned. My water is around 140 ppm.

I was told to hold off on feeding since I changed soils. And I have. But the numbers are telling me I need to feed these plants.

I’ve also read on this site if using tap water you don’t need cal/mag because it’s in the water already. Kinda a damned if you do damned if you don’t option.

So cool. I’ll try what you mentioned. May try to just add 1/4 the recommended nutes next water. See where those numbers fall. Then adjust the following water. Hopefully I can hit the 1000.

What soil are you using? I was seeing similar issues with leaves when I was overfeeding and adding calmag. Yellowing "can" be due to lack of nutrients, but yellowing tips like that can be a result of overfeeding too.

Why don't you ro your water. The 150 ppms is probably carbonates and bicarbonate and aren't really helping things along .

That is not true at all.
Really? I've never grown in it, but that is the advice so many folks give. I've also read that if it needs more nutes, topdressing with more OF can supply what's needed. Care to explain your rationale?

His plant appears to have calcium deficiency.

You should already be feeding full strength before you flip to 12/12. Transition period to flower is super critical and no time to be having deficiencies or your yields will suffer. Your plants should be in peak health before 12/12 or you are just going to be chasing issues for the next 60+ days.
Healthier plants also have stronger natural immune defenses to ward off bug and fungal pressure during a time where your options to treat them become more limited.

That advice usually applies to seedlings and teens. It has enough nutes for about 2-4 weeks before you need to start adding something. Organic soil amendments all have limited lifespans in soil and need to be replenished periodically, hence the need for top dressing or watering in nutes eventually.

Thanx for some solid advice.

Don’t worry I won’t be back.
You're fine. I just find it funny that a dude who joined a few weeks ago with 39 posts thinks most of us remember you. You have to come out of the gates attacking people, saying shocking things, or running a crazy impressive grow to standout that early.
