HOLY CRAP THE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!!!!

With the seasons changing I was able to take advantage of this cool temps. I dried a few plants really slow in a room that didn't get over 63 degrees. Took 2 weeks before the stemp snapped and now they are curing. The 25th will be 1 month cure. The difference in this grow is absolutely phenomenal compared to my others. My others were fine, don't get me wrong, but this is on another level of goodness...I don't have this opportunity during the summer and I am gonna slow my summer grows down 50% too. Grow, shut the lights down, cool the room and dry it as cool as I can instead of 75-85 degrees. I will never dry that way again, if you have never did a cold dry, I highly recommend it. I just cant get over the differences in quality, its amazing

Climate is everything,I always laugh when I see people wet trim and hang short branches.Would be dry in 3 days in my climate.But some live where RH is always high I guess.
I hang the whole plant leaves and all,no fan and as cold as possible.Still dries too fast.

I can vouch for too fast drying, it makes a huge difference...I'm gonna keep growing in the summer, but will shut the grow down and cool the room way down when I dry the harvest, then start it back up once they're dry..I cure in a different room thats cool and dark, but no way could I dry in this room, the smell would alert neighbors lol

Use a humidifier with a RH sensor. Totally worth It. My cold storage has an ambient RH of 30-40% during the winter time. I use the humidifier to bring it up to 60% for drying. Takes about a month if i chop em and hang en up with the leaves on. In the spring and summertime my basement stays at 80% with the dehumidifier full blast, I have to use a sealed grow tent with a second dehumidifier to dry in.

This grow was very dense larger size buds. So I dried them naturally for a week at 58-63 degrees then the dehumidifier for the last 7 days set at 60%...Seems to be the magic number

I removed one of my plants about three weeks ago; it looked like hell, but I can't remember exactly why I yanked it. It laid there for about two weeks and I decided to smoke a little popcorn nug. It was FIRE! The fan leaves came off super easy and I plucked the sugar leaves and put that in my hash bucket to run later. It was super quick and the smoke is awesome and very tasty, very "piney". I know the "experts" will start hating on me but I'm thinking that curing is highly overrated. I had several plants drying in my net dryer when I went in the hospital. I wasn't able to do anything with them for almost a month so they only dried. I gotta tell you that it was some of the best weed I've smoked in a long time. These plants are all Colombian Gold landrace. It's almost as good as "back in the day".

It probably cured while drying. You can actually cure weed using an entire room. I've done that with a 28 lb outdoor gorilla bomb harvest. I hung it up with the leaves and branches still intact in my cold storage. It's a 15x15 room and it was jam packed in there. I used an exhaust fan to haul out some of the moisture during the first few days. Then when the humidity wasn't crazy high i turned off the fan and forgot about it for a while.Was wicked smoke.

I shut down the indoor grow for the summer and just grow a few plants outside in pots that I just water from the hose. I like taking a break for a few months during the summer. Plus I'm burnt out by spring because I have just gotten through with juggling all my indoor vegetable and flower starts with my indoor cannabis and am busy getting the outdoor vegetable garden going along with the front yard and flowers, etc... It's nice to look at an empty tent and know that there's nothing in it I need to think about.

The outdoor plants give me some fresh weed before the indoor produces after starting up again.

Plants tie you down tighter than kids. At least you can hire a babysitter. Good luck finding someone you can teach mixing nutrients and testing to in a short amount of time AND who you trust.

You can be gone for weeks if you know what you're doing. I literally do nothing but keep the reservoir from running out using Blumats and coco. If I used a larger reservoir I don't see any reason I couldn't be gone for a month.

That's why I switched to l.o.s. in a sip. Then my buddy just has to come and add water to the res every couple days. If I'm gone extended periods, I might have him sprinkle some dry amendments and ewc, but nothing accurately measured. He's in and out, in about 10 - 15 mins. :bigjoint:

Hmm. I wasn't really thinking about Blumats. Maybe if I got bigger pots. My son has also been interested in growing, so maybe this summer I'll let him attempt a solo flight.

Is it ok to leave nutes mixed that long? I've not tried that yet. I was always wanting premade jugs, but I was advised against it.
