I heard the same thing about a student shot in the face from a family member of a district employee.

Come to think of it, he's the village idiot that said the teachers should be armed. I used to live in Oxford years ago and my ex worked in that high school. Spent a lot of time there doing volunteer work and even some evenings of open swim at the pool.

He was armed with a pistol and gave up peacefully, when I was out running errands I did hear a moron say that if the teachers were armed it wouldn't have happen, I think the guy is our official village idiot.

I was just about to say arm every kid so this won’t continue to happen .

There is a Oakland County Sheriffs office very close to the school and their cruisers are all over the area and there are deputies in and out of that school all the time. They may even have one stationed there now but they didn't when I was around.

Oxford is a small town surrounded by other small towns in rural northern Oakland County. Many of these areas have contracted with the county to get police service from the Oakland County Sheriffs Department, Oxford has a small police dept but there just happens to be a sheriffs post there for the area.
