Mag issue will they survive?

My ladies were just re transplanted about 6 days ago. Medium is miracle grow 3 month feed. Ph is 6.20 to 6.75. Added dolomite lime ( 3 tbs to 5 gallons then flushed with ph’d rain water. Hoping to even out the ph. Also add in the cal&mag. Plants are critical kush and around 7 weeks old. This is my first attempt and now I’m kinda worried. I did manage to get out today and bought 4 bags of happy frog and 3 bags of ocean Forrest and some liquid nutes. Just in case I needed to possible re transplant. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanx

They're still alive. Did you wash the roots of all the prior potting mix? If so, you can expect transplant shock for at least 2 weeks. I would not transplant them again.

I didn't understand you, "Added dolomite lime ( 3 tbs to 5 gallons then flushed with ph’d rain water." Gallons of water or gallons of potting mix? If water, did you give them all 5 gallons? Then flush?

I would stop watering, and let those roots grow and seek out water. Until they come out of transplant shock, they're not gonna desire much water at all.

I did not wash the roots before transplanting. I went from a gallon size to the 5 gallon. Since it looked like a mag issue and I only had dolomite which contains mag and cal I added 3 tbs to the top of the soil and flushed them with ph’d water. I only flushed with 3 liters of water. Definitely won’t water for a few days. But trying to keep my eye on them. Thanx for the response.

Dump the miracle grow …. It will torch some plants.

Its a “ continuous feed “ mix that “ feeds “ at every watering. Its highly concentrated due to its pelletized mix. Some growers do grow in it but you are throwing this and that on top of a hot fertilizer.

Even flushing that wouldn’t cut it down … thats how overly nuted the damn thing is. Has limited amendments for cannabis and i would only throw that shit on ornamental plants.

All you had to do was run a 60/40 soil mix of FFOF / HF ( top layer ) and just water as needed. That alone would feed it. And later one as that gets spent - Top Dress more FFOF and water that in to recharge it.

No dolomite / No guessing / No BS.

well that is a immobile mineral issue .
whether is a actual deficiency or a pseudo deficiency caused by mineral lockup is hard to say. what is your runoff EC?. I believe it's only boron and calcium that causes main tip die off.

Can’t argue with that logic. Can I remove some of the hot soil from around the outer edge? Then do the 60/40? Thanx for the help.

It was maxed @2000 on a canna. I failed to check after I flushed them today . I’m gonna make a guess that it was pretty high.

After doing a lot of research last night. I got up and pulled the worst ones. Low and behold I had a serious drain issue. They were definitely getting nuked by the ferts with the saturated soil. So I got them all pulled out. Rinsed the roots best I could in fresh water. Did the 60/40. I did add some additional perlite. Added some stone on the bottom. Once they were all completed. I water them with only 32 oz of water each. They look good. No drooping yet. So they may do ok. Thanx again.

I washed the roots this time. Each in fresh water to get the most soil out I could.

Just re transplanted them all. I’ll get back in a few days with a ph and ppm on them. The lower portion of the pots were soaked. Drains got clogged. So probably had all kinds of issues with water saturation, nute burn and who knows what else. Thanx for your help.

All you should have done is watered with tap water.

Past that point. They were over saturated plus nute burn. Medium was holding water like a sponge and wasn’t draining properly. Fertilizer was constantly releasing in the soaked mud. Thanx for reading.

I have a question. Since I wasn’t able to get all the soil out of the roots. Should I wait a week or so before I start the FF 6-4-4 liquid fertilizer ? I don’t want to starve them to long. The plants are looking very good no limping or drooping today.

Should probably just retransplant again...those poor plants.

But honestly what did you transplant into? You said you bought HF and OF soil. If you transplanted in either of those you don't need to feed liquid nutrients for a long time.

I transplanted them into the HF&OF.Added some extra perlite. I had a feeling something was wrong. So that’s why I got out and got some proper soil. I saw I had multiple issue. I also knew that I would be chasing my own tail if I didn’t do something serious. I dumped all 40 gallons of soaked to the bone MG in raised beds outside. Thanx for the response.

If that's the case don't feed liquid nutrients for many weeks. GL

Plants are doing great. I have a few questions if you have the time ?

I want to go ahead and flower these. I have 4 that are about a week or so behind the first 4 I started. So the first 4 are going on 7 weeks the others 6 weeks. I did some trim work today so wanted to flip them in 5 days. Since they have different start days I had to raise some up with stands to reach the height of the tallest ones. The tallest ones are 32” the others around 24”. I have the runt of the pack who is 7 weeks but she’s only 20”. Anyway I have them all leveled at the canopy.
I want to feed as much as possible during flowering right? So as of now I have some ph balanced grow micro and bloom for feed. But you mentioned a top dress feed. I read that you can possibly do both when flowering to add nutes that may not be available in the liquid forms. I definitely don’t want them to get over feed but I do want to make sure I’m feeding plenty.

I also have gotten the ph under control. Not all plants are at a perfect 6.50 but they are in range. I also have the ppm’s in each plant under control. Each one ranging from 850 to the low 900’s. Also do I subtract water ppm from the overall total. Thanx in advance9F804567-973B-4E3D-ACF5-C2E92594ABC4.jpeg

Since you told me this recently. I’d like your advice also. Thanx
