Yep :-D Mad white hairs on each and every one. I did a thorough inspection for rogue male flowers and was thrilled when I didn't find any. Of course I will remain vigilant in my search for hermies, but I think it's all good in the hood. I started with all feminized seeds, so I wasn't expecting any males, but you always gotta be on the lookout for hermies. Thanks for checking out my grow and posting the nice comments :-D

No, my two 600w hoods are statically mounted inline with 6" cool duct connecting them with a 465cfm blower. The ducting gets vented out through the ceiling into the house ventilation system. I'm in the process of building a second grow-room that will be used for flowering. That room will use three 1000w systems, and for that I was considering a light rail. It may not be necessary though because the three light systems will provide more than adequate light for the room.

nice...I wish I had the space for a whole room...I saw a track system today at my local hydro store..Those things are rad! and perfect for my situation..How long is your flower cycle going to be?

You have a very nice setup. Cant wait to see what you do with the other room.

With the 3 strains I'm growing right now, my flowering cycle is about 8 weeks. I specifically selected strains that all have the same flowering period so I could keep them all together on schedule.

three 1000 watts? damn not worried about crazy elictric bill? or is that still below the radar? because if it is i need to expand. any idea how many watts is to risky? i never really seen a thread on how much is to much or how much is perfect. any idea?

oh and how the hell do you get 7-9 finger leaves? mine are only 5 at the most some are even 3 and 4 lol what does it mean? if anything at all.

Genetics is what determines how many fingers your leaves will have. I've got a plant right now that has 13-finger leaves... no shit. Each leaf looks like two leaves, one on top of the other. It's fuckin crazy.

As far the electricity goes, I don't worry about that and I don't think anyone else should unless they're ruinning like 15,000w+. In all my time growing I've never heard of anyone getting caught because of their electric useage. Everyone seems to be afraid of this, but there's really no need to be. The electric company is in the business of selling electricity and making money. As long as you pay your bill on time they would have no reason to question you about it. And they certainly have no incentive to notify the police. Again, this is their source of income so why would they hassle their paying customers? Another thing to consider is that even 5000w per month is not unheard of with normal use. Think about all the electronic gear most people have in their homes these days. Computers, Xboxes, stereos, flat-panel TVs, home theaters, kitchen appliances, etc. I recently read somewhere that the average home electric use is at an all time high and continues to rise as more and more devices that munch power are introduced. I take precautions, but it's more about cutting down on my bill than worrying about being caught. I replaced all the lights in my grow-house with 11w CFLs from Ikea, and I make a point to only have one turned on at a time, and none on during the day. I don't have TV, stereo, or any kitchen appliances in my grow-house. Just my laptop, my wireless router, and my grow gear. And this is a 2-story, 3 bedroom house. So when you add it all up, i'm probably using less power than if I was actually "living" here.

well damn when you put it that way, your right. its time to move up. ima stick with this 600 watt for 2 or 3 more harvest until i get my thumb Dark dark green lol then when i know most of what i need to know ima push it to the limit maybe a crazy basement grow! damn off to the drawing board. thanks bro. check mine out give me tips i wanna know as much as possible as soon as possible.

I myself have 6 hydro sweet tooth in, 2 weeks to harvest sorry no photos will get a camera real soon have been growing for 9 years and never seen leaves and buds so big on a plant, had 2 close fellow grow pals over last fri for a beer and i had to drag them out my set up as they just wanted to stand and stair like a couple of weed pervs lol, ive just put in big bang in my other set up but they are just babies the now, about 1 hour before my lights come on with the sweet tooth i thought they were smelling almost toxic, a very strong odour but kind of nice at the same time, well best of luck with your girls on the big day, will keep an eye on your journal and i will try and put up photos soon, have a look at this site pretty good stuff and came well recommended.

Hi me again the uk is going nuts the now for BLUE CHEESE never tried or grew but many mags and sites i have read etc are raving about it big time might give it a blast in 2009.

Once that's mixed together, I add the GrowBig and top it off with more RO water. After its all mixed together, I check the pH and adjust it to 6.4. My methodology may be unnecessarily cautious and precise, but that's just my OCD kicking in :-D

2nd, why 6.4? i always though closer to 7.0 the better?
Do u use Tigerbloom/OpenSesame/Chaching/Beastieblooms as well? if you whats your schedule like. im sorry i just want to make sure my second grow is better than the first and keeps getting better time and time again.
I decided to use FF b/c of everyones awsome ass grows. INCLUDING yours!!! fucking awsome. So i bought all those products and have had a general idea of using the flowering products in order but im unsure still at the same time really.

youll find each strain has its optimal ph but your safe zone is 5.8 - 6.4

i tend to start at 5.8 in veg and flower at 6.2

You helped sway my decision on choosing Fox Farm over Botanicare in my room, I'm comparing it to Advanced Nutrients since Advanced is so costly, and I need about 100 gallons per feeding...

Yeah, so worries on the energy consumption. A few years ago 1000W per bedroom was the norm, now it's 1500W per bedroom for an average house... Good ventillation and insullation saves tons of money on the HVAC.

I'm using 6 x 600W HPS for my grow, which is only 3600W, so rolla is only one 600W more.

I was also planning on switching to 1000Wers after this room, a friend made the switch, and let me tell you, his shit doubled in size and quality... I thought more coverage with 600s would be better, but 1000s definately make some huge resinous buds.

Sweet grow, still watching ;)
