Dwarfed and deformed auto plants

Hey all!
Here with my second indoor grow. First time using auto seeds and soil...
Strain: lemon haze and afghan kush autos (in Roots organic soil). Cinderella 99 (in DWC)
Light: Philozon led 250w 18/6 at 6 of 10% 20 inches from top canopy approximate.

Water: spring and ph bottles, once every 3 days plus 1 gallon constant wicked system.
All of my seedlings were started at the same time but autos are growing very differently. Any input is welcome and appreciated...20211110_020625.jpg

Lemon haze auto on the left seems dwarfed compared to afghan kush auto on the right with deformed leaves, but size difference is very noticeable.

To me they look very dry. I think they need some water. Your medium looks bone dry.

Perhaps you could zap it for 15 minutes with 730 Far Red at the end of day (EOD-FR) and put it to bed to respirate for a while. You will notice and immediate and quantifiable difference. There's a vendor on EBay that sells these units for under $20.00 https://www.ebay.com/usr/babaoshop

The unit also works wonders on thickening buds nearing harvest, when used as a 10% supplement to an existing PAR light.

You cannot use it on early veg or you will get undesirable effects, i.e. Emerson Effect.

I'm not a huge fan of automatic watering systems in soil but that's just me. They're prone to failures and I've seen too many people rely on them and miss root problems thinking that their watering is being taken care of. That being said they're different strains so I wouldn't worry too much unless one starts to really outpace the other as far as node count. Just try not to stress them by over or under watering, keep your feeding to a reasonable level and let them do their thing.
I've also had better luck running my lights at full power higher up than lower power close to the canopy. It will help stop those weird deformed leaves your getting. Try cranking your lights up to full power, raise it no more than about 25% of the existing power a day is what I do, and raising your lights up a good bit. It gives you better spread with your pattern and the plants like it better. Just watch for light burn and be sure to raise them enough when you first turn them up. Good luck with your autos, doing dwc and soil should be fun and give you some good bud.
