Media is Sunshine #4 peat and perlite. One big compressed cube is only $60 and it lasts a long time if you just run a tent or two. I add about 10% more perlite. Then steam sterilize the media. This eliminates pests before they can hatch. It also eliminates all the good and bad organisms in the peat. So I add some mycorhizae to the sterile media. I don't use Recharge at all.

Nutes are Jacks 5/12/26, Calcium Nitrate, Silica, Fulvic Acid, Chitosan, raw cane sugar and citric acid.
1500ppm at peak Veg
2000ppm at peak Bloom. Then 1500ppm. Then 750ppm. I rarely flush at the end.

I'll make it easier for you. The nute ratio is important. The basic Jack's recipe is 3 parts 5/12/26 to 2 parts calcium nitrate and 1 part epsom. Jacks321. Then Jacks tells us it's not really 321 its more like 3.4:2.3:1.1 or something. So a lot of people go with that. It works, but it has too much Mg to use at high ppm. So yield for cannabis is limited by the addition of epsom in this popular recipe that was not developed for cannabis.
The solution is to eliminate epsom salt from the popular recipe. Part A already has plenty of Mg. You shouldn't run into Mg deficiencies because of this. So what is the golden ratio? After plenty of calculations and trial and error, I have settled on the simplest ratio that every stoner can remember:
1 part Jack's 5/12/26
1 part Calcium Nitrate
This ratio works well for the entire life cycle at the appropriate ppm for each stage. Be sure to use bioavailable Silica, not potassium silicate. Power Si and TPS Gold are examples of bioavailable silica.

Now we have reached an awkward point in time where I will eventually write some soul crushing and cringe worthy smoke and grow reports for these strains !!!!

First up is Green Crack by HSO
Grow notes - It grows a metric shit ton of massive leaves. Very labor intensive during veg to get good light exposure to the lowers. It grows wide. One plant can fill a 2x4. Would be good to SCROG. Grows medium-tall. Big yield.
Smoke report - Mango, green tea and that "old but good weed" taste. Buds grow fairly big, but not very dense. Bag appeal is not impressive. Looks like decent mids. But the BUZZ is where the rubber meets the road, y'all. HSO Green Crack grown to its full potential has definitely got the fire! Lots of energy. Mostly a sativa type head buzz. Reliable. Always gets me lit.
The seeds are keepers. But might not grow this strain again because I'm lazy and not kidding when I said this thing really grows a lot of leaves!
