I just did a 2 point calibration on both of them... with 4 and 7 solutions.... they both seem to test against those solutions ok... bit put them in water and they are completely differentCharlie Chan say, Man with two watches never know correct time.
Do you have some 7.0 standard solution around?
I have an Apera that's been accurate for 11 months, but when it dies, I'll get a bluelab.bluelab
i have an apera ec meter, i like it, they make good stuffI have an Apera that's been accurate for 11 months, but when it dies, I'll get a bluelab.
I used to favor an Oakton. But a friend turned me onto the Pen and I never looked back.I have an Apera that's been accurate for 11 months, but when it dies, I'll get a bluelab.
That's a good question! Are they kept in storage solution? Is one or both slow to stabilize? What's the ec of your tap? Low ec solutions have weaker ph and are slower to read. I'd try the same test with your nute solution. They are showing different temperature, but those few degrees would cause far less than .1 deference in ph.I just calibrated tmthese 2 pens and then when I measured my tap water they come.out completely different... which one do I trust?
if you use kelp and fulvics (dark brown), you can't use the strips/drops right??? i guess i could try it and see what colors it makes. As long as I can still see colors I'll use drip method. I only use a meter for ppm

that's what i guessed. i have avial of the drops but haven't really used them since i've used brown stuff. lol.agreed
I use R/O water with Dyna Gro nute line. Stuff stays clear after mixing
They do, my next meter will be the Apera PH60, they even have a wi-fi version now. I'd like to have another good meter for verification if something doesn't feel right, plus I'd like to have the pen style. I'm quite happy with my Milwaukee MW102, but probes age and can be damaged.i have an apera ec meter, i like it, they make good stuff
