Unfortunately, right now my parents are going to move to Canada.
Moving to a new country is a very scary process. The local climate scares me a lot. Just to move from a temperate dry climate to the wet and cold climate of Canada is very scary. 2020 late summer to this spring we were in drought. If we average out the rest of the year we
be about 5" above normal but 3" or 4 " below the max I've recorded.

I was surprised we didn't get some flash flooding but the rain never came down that hard. Around me what has really increased the risk of flash flooding is the additional drainage the farmers have put in. The road out front seldom flooded from runoff but 5 years ago the farmers did some work and just about doubled the flow. Unfortunately, now the 6' pipe under the road is not big enough. The 5 foot one next in line going into the pond doesn't have a chance.
