I've grown a couple of plants from Native Sun and also grew a clone or two from my dad. I was really pleased so i threw down for one of their latest drops:



I grew their Grape Stomper OG and Fuji Apple Cookie, and as a fairly new grower myself they were SUPER easy to grow, not a single issue. This is the Grape, low yielder but so beautiful and tasty. I'd love to bring this back into rotation.

how many were female? I’ve always been skeptical of regs because I don’t want to pay for a possible male, nor do I breed.

They're only 8 days old, sending tests Monday.

IMO dealing with males is part of dealing with unaltered genetics. I prefer not to grow feminized seeds of anything I might keep for cloning --- you can clone feminized plants too, I just prefer not to.

I will say though, the rate of females to males that both me and my Dad has experienced with NSG seeds is high. My dad got 5 for 5 females once, 2 of 3 another time, i sprouted a single seed once and it turned out female.

I have regs as freebies, so I guess I don’t really have anything to lose if I get males. But ok, thanks for the info.

Should get sex test results today! I think i already see at least two phenotypic expressions, the one on the right looks broad-leaf, the other two more narrow. We'll see!!

The one in the middle looks to be more sativa dominant by the looks of the thin blades, the other 2 look more indica dominant. I’ve never been able to sex early based on leaf shapes.

You’ll usually end up with about 50/50 male to female with regs, it’s not as much trouble as you think male preflowers usually show within a couple days of flipping to 12/12 and you pull the males. You can also flip to 12/12 for 2 days once you’re at node six in veg then switch back to flip back to veg lighting. In a few days they’ll show preflowers so you can sex and remove the males without investing a whole bunch of time and space vegging out a plant to find its male. There are lots of little tricks that come with experience and advice to make things easier.

Nah I like having them tested early. Saves me grow time on plants I'm not keeping, and it helps support that business.

I still plant to come back to these genetics, they grow really well.

The testing facility doesn't care. You mail a tiny snip of leaf, or a card-pressing depending on who you use. And are emailed the results

Thread from the dead!! Finally got around to getting more Native Sun gear. Currently have two Grape Stomper OG F2s in the 2x2, alongside a couple other hotties:

Birthday Cake #16, and Fresh Air ----- these are both Dark Heart cuts & NOT Native Sun gear ----, and of course the two Grape Stompers. It's so nice to finally have plants in my 2x2 that aren't staggered by several weeks.

Should be sending at least one Grape Stomper into flower in 2-3 weeks.


Also just snagged their newest testers.

Turning this into a Grape Stomper feminized seed run! Reversing the front plant and I'll dust the back plant if i can get pollen in time, otherwise I'll collect and store the pollen for the next run. Also got a second light to put in here, the intensity must be lacking cuz these girls are STRETCHY

Hey dude how did the grape stomper turn out? I ordered some of the gs and GS og, love the strains so hoping to be blown away haha
