New Aerogarden GrowJounal **First Timer**

Hey all! First and foremost i just wanted to let everyone know how much the information you guys post is appreciated. I've learned so much over the last few weeks in regards to hydro/aero growing in the aerogarden and in general.

SO i finally shelled out the money for a pro 200 and am beginning my grow from a collection of KB/Purp/and Mid grade bag seed. we'll see what pans out.

Using the AG starter/tomato nutes

I started the grow with 2-3 seeds in each Pod in 3 pods, it took a little longer than usual for them to germinate. i used the germination settings that came with the AG. in the top right pod 2 of the 3 seeds germed and sprouted as well as the other ones. i ended up with 5 sprouts total so debating on weather or not to kill or give them away. i dont think i can house all of them in the pro200 setup.

** 7 days after start the babies are really coming along, theirs evidence of alot of root networking going on and they look very healthy **

Its also been about a week and some change, should i start with another tab of AG nutes?

Make sure you cover the empty pod holes so light don't get into the resovoir!

thanks for the fast response, ill cover the res / ive used 2 of the ag start up tabs when i first started germinating. it hasnt harmed the plants at all that i can see.

there looking good, i havnt started mine but i took off the AG hood, had to snap the bar off, and i have a figure 8 cord to attach to a timer, with the hood off i can start wth it closer to the plants so they grow fat and bushy, but yours should be fine

Get a nice big airpump a 40gpm or gph i dont know what its rated at will do and throw a few airstones.
The plants love O2 in the water

Sorry for the long wait guys! heres the update.

Plants are growing very very quickly , a few things ive noticed we're the plant in the immidiate front has a few very small yellow spots on it, and the big plant in the back right has some curling leaves. I think its due to heat and not enough air circulation. Fixed that problem tonight so well see what comes from it in the next few days.

Hey there. It's funny reading this thread, because it almost looks exactly like my setup/stage of growth. I am experiencing the same orange/brown blotches on lower leaves, and I attribute this to nute burn. While, I didn't overfeed my plants, I do think when I put the nute tablet in the res, it kind of stayed near a bunch of the roots in one of my plants. As a result, the plant must have received too much and this may be why it got burned by the nute tablet.

In the future, I plan on dilluting or dissolving the tablet in water first and then pour it in the res. This could avoid a bunch of roots getting too close to a full tablet.

Good idea, i'll be applying that to the next feed ( i used 2 small tabs instead of the 2 large tabs that the aero book suggested.)

just put in 2 bubble stones with 20-60gpm pump. Is this too much? and how will this effect the roots??

they should be fine, i dont think you can have too much bubbles haha
