what you guys think of this soil tester, I opened the tent up real quick and took a quick jab at it ... 7.5-8 pH was the reading.. but it's a Kmart tester, kinda have to take that with a grain of salt, I will do the slurry test though. Tempted to grab a bag of soil acidifier just in case ..PXL_20210928_013730884.jpg

I have one of those. Don't use it so I must not trust it. I'll use it tomorrow and tell you what I think.

how far away is the lights?
about 600 ppfd, I can't raise them any more, maxed out, have to dim them down (the left side) except for the right side of the tent. so I have an even 500 to 600 ppfd at the moment. They were touch and go last week to this week, of all weeks ..when your told...this is when you want to feed the ladies...weeks 4-6...and then....oops ....you over did it..... lol! I think it's pH, salt build up will raise pH, easy fix with Coco... just flush... this is my quess at the moment. Might just do that to the one pictured here first thing in the morning. Get my 5 gallon bucket ready, to bubble out any potential gasses .. sigh. (18 to 20 inches)

This..

Acid Water Drench
Some growers use this intermediate correction when pH levels are not excessively high and a quick lowering of substrate pH is desired. Sulfuric acid is recommended to acidify irrigation water to a pH 4.0 to 4.5. Apply this acid water as a substrate drench, providing 5 percent to 10 percent excessive leaching of the substrate. Rinse the foliage to avoid phytotoxicity. Results should be visible within five days. Retest the substrate pH and repeat if needed.

and then maybe this..

I used that meter this morning along with a digital one. The digital one I quit using as it always went to 4.5 if left in long enough. The two probe analog one sat at just over 7.0, I call BS.

It's FoxFarm HappyFrog and only been watered once to run of as a presoak, no nutes.
