One side of Led hotter than the other x2

I bought some Samsung boards a couple of weeks ago I set up 1 last night and noticed that one side of the board is hotter than other by 7/8c.

I set another up this morning and it's also hotter at one side... Is there any legitimate reason for this?

I've another Samsung same spec and it's even across the board - + 1c

It's boards, Meijiu supplied.
not sure if that is normal or not but def doesn't sound right. I've never tested on my HLG boards but almost sounds like there is thermal runaway w some part of the board.

if you leave them on for a few hours does it continue to heat up?

either way I would contact Meiju and see what they say.

I've not had the chance to leave it on for any length of time, when I noticed it last night I unplugged it, I tried another this morning now I've sort of lost interest, I don't think that's right they're going back unless there's a acceptable reason which I think unlikely.
Thanks for your input.

That's one of the board been on for 1 hour it's 50c one side and 59c at the other, my other samsung same spec (kingbrite) is 47c at one side and 49c at the other side?

Sorry I wasn't clear, they're meijiu boards supplied by a 2nd party through eBay... I feel I dodged a bullet I'd be fkn furious if I'd ordered them from China being ebay I've already received the return slip.

I'll get a refund and re consider my options again.

I've swapped around the live to the opposite side of the board and the temperature difference changed to the other side with the power?

I'm sure that'll mean something to someone but not me lol?

By deduction I think it points to the bridge/jump lead?

Though it looks fine to me but maybe stuff that's above me like resistance/capacitance, gauge of wire etc.

Well fk knows capacitance/resistance whatever but if I wire one side + the opposite side - both sides heat exactly equall :-)...

What does that point to, I've solved the problem without knowing wtf the cause is, anyone???

Sounds like you might have had it wired in parallel and now it's in series. I'm not sure.
