I'm a fan of the constitution and while it may not be the polite thing for people to express themselves in a manner that hurts someone else's feelings, you have to allow it. You're definitely in the wrong country if you have a problem with people offensively objecting to your ideas. There's a line from Ghostbusters that I've always enjoyed, "Being miserable and treating other people like dirt is every New Yorker's God-given right". Freedom isn't synonymous with kindness and it's not designed to make you happy, because that's just not what it's for.
