I have 3 different strains of autos growing outdoors with different ages. All are being grown in a mix of Ocean Farm and Happy Frog with added perlite. I've been top dressing with a mix of EWC, OF, perlite and myco. Recenly added some dry fert, dr earth homegrown, to that mix. Also kelp every now and then plus silica and calmag when watering. Always aim for a PH of 6.5. I move them around the backyard so they get a good 8 hours of direct sunlight and keep them covered during rains.
Here are the girls and a little history on each.
This is the Zkittles and she is a fighter. Day 53, pretty sure I stunted her leaving her out in above 90 degree temps when she was a couple of days old, plus I was probably over watering her. Decided to germinate new seeds but moved this one to a solo cup. She came back fast and at some point decided to move her back to 5 gallon fabric pot. I was not planning to top her but accidentally did so I LST her as well. She has some white spots that make me think its white powdery mildew, have sprayed her with spinosad and neem but it's still there. Showing preflowers and after all that stress still a girl. Don't know if I should keep her though because of the white spots. It seems to be in the old leaves but also in a few new ones.
Next up are the two Jack Herers that were freebies, day 47 and day 43. These ones have been rocking since the beginning, both topped and LST. The only issue with this ones is some rust spots on fan leaves. Doesn't seem to be a fungus since it doesn't rub off. My thoughts are calmag deficiency or just a PH issue that is locking it out, since you'd think that OF plus my tap water have plenty of calmag. It hans't gotten bad and it did seem to go away about two weeks ago when I first added calmag but came back so I watered her again with it. I also did a top feed and amended some dr earth flower girl since these girls are starting to get buds forming. I keep thinking I might need to prune the underside but with so much breeze in my backyard doesn't seem essential just yet so holding off.
And lastly, the one that has showed me what good genetics can do, the Mephisto Skywalker at day 38, looking gorgeous. I did not want to fuck this one up, so I avoided any topping and doing a bit of LST only. This girl has had no issues and is growing fast and big. Sometimes seems to get bit overheated but other than that hoping this one is a winner.
Appreciate any input on keeping these girls healthy. Thanks!
