photoperiod timing

its my first grow, plants were going thick and dense then we had a 4 day heat wave with temps hitting 100 and i had a die-off, but i put up sunshade and they have rebounded very well - actually may be a blessing in disguise as a lot of interior leaves died off and now there is great circulation . the strains i was given are supposed to be grown in 80-90, so we are way hotter but they look pretty good now.

where i am we have gone from 14 light hours/10 dark at the solstice 6/20, to 2 months later and now on 8/20 we are at 13/11, its another 5 weeks (sep 26) before we hit 12/12.

so my question is - will they wait until after 12/12 to flower, or do they start to flower once they notice a decent difference like now, a full hour shorter day and full hour longer night is a delta of 2 hours.

i am definitely seeing a bit more growth on the flowerlets and a bit more aroma, just dont know if thats something to get excited about or not

What kind of eggplant is that? Are you sun drying some produce?
Rosa Bianca - thats my wife's project, i dont do eggplant....lol

but yes - jalapenos, habaneros, and hot banana peppers drying. i have peppers everywhere - even little foam peppers hanging from my plants so any casual glance is not obvious, and my poblanos and habaneros are covered with sun shade as well that doesnt draw attention either. the code name when in the yard or discussing elsewhere is "vietnamese tomatoes"

Yeah I saw those things you have hanging in the plants. Just figured they were some Christmas ornaments . I have a friend that hangs stuff from his plants.

Also, you have a couple months before those are done.
