Triangle kush lady here. Bout 8 ft tall. Outside on deck in a 20 gallon pot. Bout 70% compost. The rest is happy frog I've been using to top off pots. I had this happen last year to a sativa that was way in the back not getting good air so I defoliated and rotated the plants around and let it go dry. Falling on its face dry. Then I hit it hard with neem oil spray before I watered. I started watering less more often with only AERATED water. The plant improved but the damage was already done. Anyone have experience with this crap? Thanks in advance

That doesn’t look like fungus or mold to me I think you’re okay man. I’ve had a lot of plants do that I think it’s genetics some one feel free to correct me

I think thats black smut fungus, usually attacks grasses during droughts.
I've gotten it twice on outdoor pot plants, but the plant usually seems to defeat it, it's not a natural host.

Not sure what got rid of it, neem oil didn't seem to work at all. I did spray the plant with Botanigard, parasitic fungus usually for bugs, but eats pathogens also, lives on in the plant tissues.

I've gotten it twice on outdoor plants, but the plant usually grows out of it, doesn't seem to affect it too badly except at the growing tip.
Woah really ? My 7 foot tall plants have it on the stems in some places doesn’t seem to be doing anything to them

I'm guessing because the yard had it bad both times. Looked like the same thing happening to the crabgrass which was resistant but turned dark purple.
The growing tips on the pot plants in a couple places were affected, and areas where leaves were in contact, it seemed to spread.
The purple tips and way it spread thru the new growth, slightly retarding it, definitely wasn't genetic.

The plant's seemed to get over it in about ten days, color and stunted growth went away.

Looks like someone correctly identified it as a Phytoplasma spread by leafhoppers.

Seems as though if it was fusarium like he stated, my whole plant would have it? As of right now it was two small spots. I picked those infected parts off and havent seen anything since. Yet. Maybe I'm just hoping it wasnt, i cant get rid of hoppers lol.
