Does Dynagrow GROW actually need Cal-mag in COB LED grows?

I'm switching from HPS to COBs... Dyna says - "Liquid GROW™, Foliage-Pro® and Liquid BLOOM™ are complete nutrients containing all 16 macro and micro nutrients your plants need to thrive. ... You do not need a Cal-Mag supplement when using Dyna-Gro™ nutrients." Is this true for cannabis under intense COB LEDs in indoor cannabis grows? Because I'm seeing COB cal-mag issue posts everywhere I look and I'm using 0 ppm RO water; wondering if anyone has any input please. Thank you :peace:

foliage pro is what you need. i add Mg to mine, no Ca.
I'm switching from FND 4 x 8 tables using rock wool to all perlite Hempy buckets for the first time. Is there a ballpark ppm EC to shoot for in Hempy over time to not burn the Hell out of them? Like:

Seedlings 150 - 200 ppm rising 50ppm each week until first week of 5 - 6 node veg around 400 ppm and then up and up to 500, 600, 700 in late veg and flower? Is that about the gist of it? I know how to read my plants but since Hempy is brand new to me is that even in the right ballpark those ppm numbers for Hempy? Thank you :peace: And thank you for the foliage pro advice, ordering now.

i fed hempys pretty light since i was feeding them 1x a day. with well water of 0.2EC, i fed probably up to 1EC max. (0.8EC nutes only).

i don't think i've ever had a plant need more than 1.2EC in any method iv'e used.

i'm not familiar with calcium chloride at all.

i just started using their version of Si. Bulletproof Si; not from K silicate either.
It's known as pickling lime. It's similar to agricultural lime but contains a chloride ion instead of a hydroxide ion. Therefore it is pH neutral versus alkaline. I'm sure you could find it somewhere in powder form cheaper and just mix it into water (be careful though it's exothermic -- releases heat)

How do you like their Si? I don't remember what I have upstairs. I just buy whatever's cheapest

I'm going to take your advice and get no where near 700+ ppm and watch the plants closely feeding regularly.. What I'm most sketched out about is placing 2 - 3 node two week old seedlings I have in 4 x 4" rock wool cubes into the 100% perlite Hempy Buckets and as those roots hit the Rez for the first time, what should the proper ppm/EC usually be using foliage pro (in general be?) be in your opinion? just an overall ball park average? 200? 300? ish (0.5 EC) at that point? Having this ballpark Hempy average as a starting point would be great to know. I really appreciate your advice, thank you! :) btw I'm using two of these for the flower tent ala the original cal mag question >https://timbergrowlights.com/redwood-vs/

what EC are you feeding your seedlings now? 0.5 to 0.6 sounds about right to me

the only tricky time in hempys is before the roots hit the res. you'll need to top feed them ( i top fed them maybe 3 to 4 times a day) and then once a day when they hit the res.

Yes, I'm feeding around 0.5 - 0.6 EC once I place the 3 - 4 node seedlings in 4x4 rock wool cubes into the buckets for the first time waiting for roots to hit the Rez top feeding multiple times per day small amounts. One more question sorry, you said - " i add Mg to mine, no Ca." during veg" - Are you adding a tiny bit of Epsom when you do this throughout veg? or a tiny bit of Dyna Mag-Pro? Under intense COB LEDs. :peace: Thank you.

There should be a "Hempy book" released put out by a pro Hempy grower that wants to make a million dollars... Flood and Drain, dirt and DWC methods all have relative feeding regimens from seedling to end of flower explained in fine print on the back of the bottle, Hempy does not. This is bad.. especially when you consider that a 1200 ppm FND feeding perfect for plants in that setup will burn to death and KILL all the plants in a Hempy bucket set up. These companies don't say "watch your plants and figure it out", they give you an average ppm to stay within for each stage of plant growth and then watch your plants..
