I believe that was ISIS, another remineder of the peaceful nature of the Muslim religion.
ISIS was the result of the US dismantling the Iraq army. All these people with a fighting background and no job. They was no ISIS before the Iraq invasion and that came after the Afghanistan invasion. The Taliban blew them up before the US came in.

you know he was the only 6'8" fvcker around; he didn't stand out in the crowd just a bit?
Used to work with a taller guy who had a slightly darker skin, a little heavier set, looks like a huge Mexican. He used to fly down there every winter, the Mexicans barely made it up to his shoulder.

considering the world wide pandemic I'd say 16% is mind blowing.....but my mind is shot anyway
I was shocked at how fast it jumped back to be honest, but I have a great group of very smart people doing mine. I have a different account that I control and that’s doing horrible right now, I don’t have the time needed to stay on top of shit.

You know what should be interesting to see?
How will a couple of Mullah's & Tribal leaders & and around 85,000 tribesmen that most of have probably never seen the inside of a school, beside a Madrasa, run a country & exist in the modern world & support themselves?
Sell hash & heroin?
That's about all they got
Really, that's the truth
It imports over $6 billion worth of goods but exports about $1 billion worth of legal products, mainly fruits and nuts.
They won't survive
Fucking impossible
They've been crawling up & down mountains for the last 20 years.
Most don't even have a Facebook page or a Twitter account :)
They are basically illiterate beside the ability to read the Quran.
They are going to be isolated internationally & no one will support them.
This should work out well for the Taliban
They won this battle but I doubt they will win the war.
They're about to get fucked by the 21st century, not militarily, but economically.
Wait and see.

$1-3 Trillion in Rare Earth Elements… why do you think the USSR was there in the first place… now with the US gone… China will gobble that shit up and put even a tighter grip on the REE market which they control 90% +

It doesn't matter who got us into this mess. It doesn't matter that I think Biden screwed this one up. Or that I'm pretty sure that Trump was planning to do the same that Biden just did. Or that a good outcome in Afghanistan was not a priority for the US. It matters that people we were protecting are going to die in a brutal manner. Others are going to be suppressed back into the dark ages. The Taliban take over of Afghanistan is a human disaster. Maybe it's also a political one as well.

I don't think what happens in Afghanistan over the next few months is something I'll put down on my personal list of accomplishments by the Biden administration. Cutting and running is against my nature. My own bias would have us staying until a better solution can be found. But I also can't say what that would be.

Biden is doing what we elected him to do. Like Trump, he's replaceable if he makes too many mistakes.

Here they are, the New and the Future of Afghanistan in the Presidential office deciding on the path forward for they're Great Nation
But 1st things 1st
Mufti #1 asks Mufti #2
"Abdul, what would you like on this momentous occasion?"
Abdul then says to Mustafa
"I really don't give a fuck, my hemorrhoids are killing me, just no anchovies"

Republicans got us into Iraq and Afganistan by lying to us, should have bombed Saudi Arabia instead.
Let's be clear here, they lied to you but only a sucker believed them. I remember watching it go down and you had every expert in the world tell you they didn't have WMDs, you had the inspectors up their asses telling you they didn't have WMD. It was surreal watching it go down. I was not in America during that time, so I don't know how much they spoon-feed everybody their lies, but unless they blocked access to information it should have been pretty easy to know they were lying when your own experts were saying there were no WMD. Do you believe the experts or Mission Accomplished W.

Can you imagine the fascist Repugs if Obama had an Glowing Orb ceremony with Saudi royals? He would have been labeled Anti-Christ in a heartbeat.
Saudi Arabia is simply run as total dictatorship by the world's richest crime family. We shouldn’t be hanging with these pricks.

So uhhh...what's the argument here? Yeah it's super sad that the taliban are taking over. What's a fundamental religious society look like...well that, that's what it it looks like. It's also completely predictable that they would pop back up as soon as we withdraw.
