Don't bother. Learn to guage the dryness of the pot by it's weight. GLNeed some expert help on input on a moisture meter in a good price range that works, thanks.

Gotta agree, knowing this stuff is better than any meterJust watch the leaves...when they're right they'll be at attention...when becoming thirsty they'll start to sag
Sorry, but that practice isn't the best; Soil, coco or peat.Just watch the leaves...when they're right they'll be at attention...when becoming thirsty they'll start to sag
For soil I know for sure. Consistent moisture levels are key. I’m not a big coco guy but I always thourht they could take a drought between watering a little bit better.Sorry, but that practice isn't the best; Soil, coco or peat.
Do some searching on the subject if you disagree.
if i make a soil that is very high in clay content...and another that is a sandy loam....you grow in sandy loam and ill grow in the high clay content....will you use a meter to decide an appropriate watering schedule? I know i wont use a meter to determine an appropriate watering schedule...im gonna use the plantSorry, but that practice isn't the best; Soil, coco or peat.

No coco has to stay constantly wet. I've been feeding my 3 gallon outdoor plants 1/2 gallon twice a day. If I don't they are bone dry the next morning. For soil I know for sure.
