Wide flat main stalk very strange any ideas?

Seems like a bunch of stems kind of fused together to create an extremely wide but flat stalk. Plant is a about 6 feet. It starts half way up. All other offshoots are fine.

Main question is will this produce significant bud or is it better to chop the top and hope for the best?

Otherwise all my plants are healthy. Only one with this problem. It’s a blueberry that split early into essentially two stalks with various offshoots. I did fim but probably didn’t take enough. Then decided to just see how big they could get.

Any advice appreciated!!

Hmm dang someone told me to cut it like a month ago but thought it was too late to cut it off. Do you think it’s definitely too late now or should I try and hope it splits into something more normal?

Never mind I see it.
In my experience it creates a bud at the top but it’s basically useless.
Your side growth will be normal.

It split very early and then split again when I fimd but there’s still two clear colas above the rest, this being one of them. I should’ve researched earlier but I thought it was just so bizarre I wanted to see it through.
As far as watering it was dusk when I took the photos, sun was down so it was bedtime. Plants are 7-8 ft tall with lots of colas, very healthy otherwise. I think I’m just gonna chop it and see what happens The leaves are so dense at the top it will be very high risk of bud rot. Better to cut and see if she splits I think.

edit: there are two nice stems about 1 1/2 down so maybe if I cut this those will take over?

The plants look nice man.
Personally I top it.
Nothing to lose really.
I let a fasciated Tangie finish and it was shit too.
The sides gave up something at least so maybe you’ll get a little more by taking the top off.

I had the same experience. I'll chop anything fasciated or mutated. I know mutations can improve the quality sometimes but what are the odds that a visible mutation, which is something going wrong, will improve things?
