Top dress after transplanting

Are most of y’all enthusiastic about top dressing the day of transplanting into larger pots (1 gallon to five gallon etc.) with anything from worm castings to 4-4-4 etc.)

or……let them readapt for a day or two before the first feed

nah I'm not a cat person, to say the least..
Ok, I was just curious. I don't know why my question offended you though still.

But I'd just transplant gently into fresh soil. Sure you can add some EWC too, just don't add too much without adding more aeration. Save the top dressing for later and use it as a top dressing. When you do top dress you can mix it with EWC or add EWC over it to help speed decomposition.

Place is a bummer of late. My answer is amend the soil in the pot your transplanting to and get growing. A few answers still around.

Peace.

Thanks my G. ladies looking mighty healthy.
I transplanted from 1L to 5Litre both Primal Earth base.

It's been 24 hours I haven't added any of my nitro boosters or CT's yet they seems to be shaping out OK but leaves a bit lighter now, most likely from the shock.

I'll drop some feather meal and worm castings and massage it in tomorrow, maybe a nice round of 4-4-4

Absolutely and always do. Usually a week before transplant.

True. I've been feeding for weeks now but I just meant interns of the day of transplanting into the new bigger pots.

A) Letting them readjust after a new home VS. B) Feed them as soon as they walk in the door.[/QUOTE]
