Hey all, been lurking for sometime now.

Figured I'd start an account finally and say hello. I'm living up here in the dirty mitten, and with some help from friends and this site, I'm getting near the end of my first crop!

No way. I did live in Truckee CA for a handful of years to snowboard and loved it there, besides the cops that hated boarders. But CA and basically the whole West Coast has changed a lot. I was born and grew up in Seattle, and it was an awesome place to live then, but I can't stand it there now. It's sad.

I'm in the Front Range of CO now. My town is peaceful and has no traffic. And the big city is just down the hill, without the crazy traffic. There's still traffic, but nothing like the shit I've dealt with over there. I haven't flipped anyone off in years, lol.

The cops who hate boarders, border patrol? Lol

I heard CO was pretty awesome. One of my friends is on their way back from there right now.

Traffic is hell during rush hour around here. You would have a perma finger!

Truckee police hated boarders it seemed. They were assholes to us. Like the first day we moved there the ex girlfriend and I rented a movie at Blockbuster on the corner. We go in the car, drove through the intersection on that corner and immediately were pulled over. I slyly put my seat belt on without them seeing and the asshole gave my ex a ticket and said "I don't know how he got his on". Fuckers.

Another time they arrested me, and were total dicks about the whole thing.

Sorry to hear about your police experiences. Next time get a camera and record everything. Goes a long way from keeping officers ego out of the situation. Check out police audits on YouTube.

They didn't abuse anyone. They were just assholes. It's all good. Snowboarders were hated for many years before it got popular and became mainstream. Back then a lot of resorts didn't even allow boarders.

Weird that they targeted snowboarders. Is there some kind of stereotype about them that made them out like a skater or surfer?

Yes. We were the outlaws, lol. I had to put a few skiers in line. They loved talking shit and hated us because we were different. So we accepted it and started dressing like punks and dying our hair, lol.

You can never complain about frost number 1, lol. And, those buds will get a lot fatter and fill in more. Give them time.
