My idea precedes books. Back then there wasnt a lot of ways to test the religion against fact. Combine that with the basic need, and it isnt so black and white. Imo.

Depends on what is pagan to you. I think of it as animist with a bigexample being the Celtic beliefs that birthed modern wicca.Pagan.? Nothing wrong with an opinion, means your thinking..and that's up to u..
I don't count the religions of Rome, Babylon, Greece, Egypt, India etc. as pagan. Not animist.

A New Jersey man is facing charges after his UPS coworkers told the FBI he 'gloated' and showed them videos of his time at the Capitol riot
- The FBI arrested Donald Smith after his coworkers outed his participation in the Capitol riot.
- His coworkers told the FBI he "gloated" about entering House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office.
- So far, at least 605 people have been charged in relation to the Capitol riot.
Donald Smith "gloated" to his coworkers the day after the Capitol riot, the DOJ alleged, showing them videos of his participation and "bragging about it at work."
The FBI on July 28 hit Smith with a slew of charges, including knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
Two coworkers also confirmed to the FBI that Smith hadn't attended work on January 6, the day of the riot. He told one coworker that "it was the best day of his life," according to the DOJ. The department alleged he told another "he had a great time" and was one of the rioters who entered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office.

The Associated Press reported the confidential plea agreement for Griffin, citing discussions at a Monday court hearing. The deal may resolve misdemeanor charges against him.
Griffin, a commissioner in Otero County, N.M., was arrested in January and charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building. Prosecutors then added a charge for disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restrictive building in February.
He was ordered to be detained while awaiting trial and pleaded not guilty in March to both charges.
Prosecutors said that Griffin confirmed he was present at the riots, saying in a now-deleted video posted on Facebook that he “climbed up on the top of the Capitol building and ... had a first row seat.”
Prosecutors further said that neither he nor Matt Struck, a man he traveled to Washington, D.C., with, actually entered the Capitol but instead remained on the building’s steps.
But officials said that Griffin’s placement, as seen on several Facebook videos, shows he was “well within the restricted area” of the Capitol.
Griffin founded Cowboys for Trump to organize rallies for former President Trump. Griffin made headlines last year after the former president shared a video of Griffin at a New Mexico rally saying “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”
A petition began circulating in early July to oust Griffin from his position as Otero County commissioner, the AP reported at the time.
