You're asking the wrong questions ...weird was when they used to stuff it in intestines and bury it, before baggies came around.... They do all sort of weird stuff over there...
Why dry and cure like a nomad when we nowadays have drying rooms and controlled environments to do just that?
Each to their own. I have enough cured and in storage and have no need to rush anything. I have patience to dry and cure normally. You're asking the wrong questions ...weird was when they used to stuff it in intestines and bury it, before baggies came around.
Why dry and cure in drying rooms and controlled environments, wait for weeks, when you can just stick it in a hole and cure it in 72 hrs like a nomad?
You can go longer, but 72 hrs is all thats needed. It's just a different method using higher heat, low oxygen.
The weed has a cigar-like rankness when burned (cigar tobacco has some fermentation), and the ethylene gives it an ripe apple smell, so it can change the flavor and smell profile. It's like getting a whole new pheno of your weed.
I always take a chunk fishing and camping because its waterproof too, as well as compact and easy to hide during transport.

My pipe is made out of a mason jar. The high becomes clearer-less muddy-and lasts longer.Only thing missing is a pipe made out of a beer can! How's the high? Malawi sounds fantastic just not sur.e about fermented. Does this fermentation alter the high?
This looks like mexican brick weed lol. I havent seen it in like 20 years lol.
20 years?? More like 40 for me. By the late 70's-where I'm from anyways- it was all about the skunk. Green Bud.
What do your friends say when youre like "ive got some fire" and then pull this out?? Lol.
After 1 or 2 hits they usually say they've had plenty.
It may have good effects still, but it looks like fucking trash.
Thats the thing. You're just used to the way weed is marketed today for making money as fast as possible. 7-8 weeks flower and dry it up real quick for quick turnover. DCcan says 72 hours-but his example is still green. I say 2-3months where all the green (chlorophyl, nitrogen, ammonia) is taken up-digested actually.
And I agree i wouldnt want the smell and taete changed.
Are you sure, you've never even tried it.
I would take the African bro science with a grain of salt. They do all sort of weird stuff over there.
Fermenting is bro science? What other weird stuff do the Africans do to their weed?
Real sativa's are overall euphoric in effects.
It's about the variety, not the way of curing.
Wrong.
Why dry and cure like a nomad when we nowadays have drying rooms and controlled environments to do just that? I get the nostalgia but that's about it.
If you want that question answered read the link I provided.
Fuck off assbagYou need to learn how to preview and use the quotation function. Everyone's time is more valuable than trying to decipher someone coming out looking like a total fool.
Fixed the quotation for you buddy. They fast dry it on stones and bake it in the sun because they don't have any other choice. People do things out of necessity and lack of other resources. What other weird stuff do Africans do to their weed?

I followed a method that's on numerous websites. I didn't care for the taste of fermented weed. I also don't cure my weed because I don't like old weed. I dry it, jar it, and smoke it. I like it fresh. I've tried fermenting and curing but still prefer to just dry my weed and jar it when it's dry. Thanks for your response xtsho. Can you share a little more?
Method of fermentation , duration, what you didn’t like? Was the high too strong, not strong enough? Curious cuz most folks that try the smoke usually like it better and seem to need less compared to the same weed with the traditional modern method cure. I have jars of traditional but tend to reach for the cob when I smoke.
