I would be more patient before giving out any advices there buddy. Wasn't you the guy running 2.9 EC in containers a couple of days ago?
Defoiling is down to personal preference and it's not anything based on scientifical knowledge. I yield about the same. I do "lollipop" my plants but I only really pluck leaves dropped by the plant itself. After a few runs your hash pile get bigger because you can't be bothered to trim everything.
Defoiling is probably the worst advice you could give a new grower. It's a plants food source in case of an emergency, lockout, overwatering, bad bacteria cultures etc. A lot of stuff could come up during a growing cycle.
Curious if you're actually going to give advice to this guy or just follow me around the forums and flame me?
If you've read the thread, you will find the discussion we were having about defoliating, where others prior have suggested defoliating. I chimed in with what I have been following (after his first defoliation), which is the nebula manifold guide, and giving insight on what I have experienced. You would also find the post where I said exactly what you said " There's quite a few schools of though on defoliation, it's about finding what you like and what works best for your grows. "
Yes, I was feeding 2.9EC. Did I suggest he feed at 2.9? No.
Was I overdoing it on the nutes? probably.
Do I grow fucked up plants? I wouldn't say so, and I think many others would agree.
In fact, I'm very proud of my plants.
What's your deal, bro? Everyone else here is mad cool..
