Mate I only use A and B now with some Epsom salts and calmag and a teeny tiny bit of PK booster In the form of Monopotassium Phosphate (the dry salt most PK boosters are made from)

My EC Is currently 0.9 my nutrient manufacturer recommends 2.4EC by now!

I use a BLUELAB EC TRUNCHEON myself. Had the same one since 2012.View attachment 4940058View attachment 4940059View attachment 4940061View attachment 4940063View attachment 4940064View attachment 4940065
Most of those feed charts from cannabis nutrient companies have people way overfeeding which in turn causes a good majority of issues people have. They dump too much stuff on them and end up with deficiencies, crispy fried leaves, and nasty looking buds.

Non cannabis specific fertilizer companies like Jacks have you feeding no more than 1.4 EC at full strength because anything higher than that is unnecessary. The VitaGrow I used to use was the same. The directions didn't have you overfeeding and plants were always nice and healthy with no issues. Too many people fail to realize that when they have issues it's usually not from not enough but from too much.

And why did you add it?

At what strength?

did you have an Mg deficiency?

do you know what additional Mg can do if you add too much?

can it antagonise other nutrient elements?

so you’re dumping nutrient after nutrient on your plants to do what exactly?

research into nutrients does not mean look at what else you can dump on them! Lol.

heck man look at my older threads where I start with seedlings and make adjustments exactly like I describe and you’ll be growing like me in no time and even I’m not an “expert” I know enough to be pleased with every grow I harvest.
Right so I am literally about to feed would you suggest I just use a & b then?
Thanks man

Here’s what you do.

go to the canna website and use their nutrient calculator and adjust it for their lightest feed schedule.

this guide will then see you max your EC at 1.4.

check for the week you are against and add just A/B at the recommended ml per litre and just feed that.

when you’ve got your EC truncheon let me know and I will write you up a basic guide on EC values per stage of growth.

So right now according to canna and your stage of growth i would be adding 72ml of A/B.

how much A/B have you been adding previously?

based on that your 24litre Tank can take 50ml A/B each.

I have been adding 25ml of each to 24 ltrs, plus the other things I listed

So would you suggest 72 ml of a and 72ml of b for every feed? And what about the calmag and the salts when would you start adding them? Didn't you say earlier that you use them with your a&b
Nice one

I use them because I understand when to use them according to my plants needs.

I DO NOT ADD THEM IF THE PLANT DOESNT NEED THEM.

yes add 72ml of A/B. But you haven’t answered how much A/B you were adding into 24L before?

Just seen you’ve been adding 25ml A/B

At least use 50ml this time.

It’s so hard to advise as you have no way of testing the EC so it’s a bit of a guessing game.

for now use 50ml but for the love of god get an EC tester

I was adding 25 ml of A and 25ml of B which I worked out to around 1/4 strength going off the guide on the back of the bottles

That could explain the stretched growth if you under feed too much internodal spacing can increase.

I would add the 50ml a and b and and see what’s happening tomorrow.

if it’s too much the plants will let you know but again without testing EC it’s gonna be really hard for me to give you exact as right now I would say feed at 1.0EC and check what your runoff is doing right now as far as EC of the runoff was concerned.

So are you saying once I get the EC meter I check the ec of of feed and then the ec of the run off ?

Initially yes.

it’s not very Important to check runoff but when you’ve been feeding heavy PK it could have caused a lock in your coco and if your runoff is stupidly higher than the input solution then you know you’ve got an problem.
Ok il try and get one by next week, I will let you know when I have it. Thanks for this mate
