If you're going to do dry amendments, you won't need bottled nutes. And since the soil she's in is ffof/happy frog mix how much ml/gal on the fox farms bloom? I don't want to burn it
If you wanna do bottled nutes, then no dry amendments, wait till your soil is almost depleted of nutrients, then start adding the bottled nute at the low end of dose. No straw needed for mulch then.I think it calls for 5-10ml.
By water soluble, I mean anything that the plant can immediately take up. Dry amendments need time to be broken down by microbes. Some of it though will be immediately available, but not much. The main idea behind a compost tea, is to add microbes to the soil to start breaking down organic material. The more microbiology, the better.I misunderstood when you mentioned water soluble. My bad I got confused
Lol, it's all good. The joint may have had some influence on my ignorance
This was from poor storage by the nursery I purchased from I'm sure. I already drenched it with peroxide loli've been using pro-mix for 7 or 8 years now no bugs should ever show up in the bags the mix is peat and its pasteurized. should promptly return all the garbage back to the garden center it came from it obviously was stored improperly before you purchased it. id be furious if i brought that shit inside my garden. better yet should shoot off and email to pro-mix's support
I know I'm responding to this part of the thread way way too late, but this Down to Earth rose mix is my favorite blended bag for cannabis, and if I've ever got anyone asking me what to use but they don't want to blend their own, I recommend they use this and add nitro guano 1:5 by mass. Worm castings and/or living compost as well, but that's a given.View attachment 4932745
This is the rose flower mix I mentioned above. Any opinion on this? They didn't have much more to choose from besides veg ammendments
Question about recharge though. Do I mix enough to do a complete watering or just apply a few cups?Lol, it's all good.
Try adding some D E to your mix, that gets rid of the bad bugs imo. Mites, thrips and the extra silica is good for plants. Plus its cheap and youll use it and buy more.Question about recharge though. Do I mix enough to do a complete watering or just apply a few cups?
It's called just D E?Try adding some D E to your mix, that gets rid of the bad bugs imo. Mites, thrips and the extra silica is good for plants. Plus its cheap and youll use it and buy more.
Diatomaceous earth, aka DE.It's called just D E?
This is what I was going to use as a top dressing. I know it's a dry ammendment but the box calls for 1-2 tbsp 2x a month for potted plants. So there will be enough ready nutrients available for a top dressing I'm assuming?I know I'm responding to this part of the thread way way too late, but this Down to Earth rose mix is my favorite blended bag for cannabis, and if I've ever got anyone asking me what to use but they don't want to blend their own, I recommend they use this and add nitro guano 1:5 by mass. The doctor earth "flower girl" is a similar formulation for people in areas that can't get down to earth products.
Actually no, it needs to break down and compost. It will do something, but most of the food will just sit there on top. Covering with a deep mulch layer will increase effectiveness by allowing composting and bringing the roots closer to the surface. But really I don't think you will get everything you need from that and will have to fall back on soluable fertilizers. This is what I was going to use as a top dressing. Ok. I know that was probably already answered somewhere on here but being new i just need to clarify. I looked up flower girl and it seems like some good shit. I'll take that routeActually no, it needs to break down and compost. It will do something, but most of the food will just sit there on top. Depends.... are you going the bottled nute route or the dry amendment? Soil using bottled nutes aren't dependent on microbes to break down organic matter.Question about recharge though. Do I mix enough to do a complete watering or just apply a few cups?
