I also used optic foliar overgrow a couple times as I thought this was deficiency

I ph at 6.1
I treat promix as a hydro/soulless media, hopefully that’s right. As I mentioned above it buffers back up to 7ph after a few days

I haven't heard of the foliar before.

The medium, you say It's buffering like old school youtube so yeah you're good

Your plants look good. It's common to lose the bottom leaves for a couple reasons. Keep up the good work.

I’ve heard that I just feel like they were too rough looking, and that new growth is scaring me

Promix can be cold but I wouldn't say it's totally soulless.
