Is this bud rot or burn?

I’ve just been away for 5 days, left my plant under a cloche while away, temperatures were high 26c-28Celsius. Could the high humidity have caused this bud rot or high temperatures burning the bud? It looks off colour to me. I’ve removed a little, but would I need to remove the whole bud? Cloches off now and she has lots of airflow. Any help much appreciated

Bud rot can take over an entire plant in less than 36 hrs, you could attempt to remove only the affected buds but bud rot is not always visible on the butter parts of your flower. If you wait you may end up with a bunch of mush bud that is only good for the trash. It's up to you to risk partial loss or full loss. Generally if it's visible then your already in the downward spiral of full plant infection. Bud rot can also infect plants near by. I would personally pull the whole plant before I lost it all. But as always get a second opinion. Just don't wait forever for it as the rot is spreading as you read this.

Thank you, very sad news :(

Botrytis can become systemic and affect the whole plant.. Start by taking that bud apart and see what you got..
Inspect the whole plant!

Cut off the entire bud well below the point of infection. Do the same for any other areas affected.

It's most likely already all over the plant. Any plant that has had any bud rot that was cut out should be inspected very thoroughly by breaking open a good sized sample of the buds and using a scope to look closely after drying. Botrytis may not be detectable with a visual inspection of the outside of the bud but you may find it inside of the bud. To the untrained eye it can look like trichomes but to the trained eye the long thin stems leading to a small ball at the end are obviously mold.

Just found this on the inside of one of my top colas while trimming. Am I right in assuming bud rot? It seems to have only affected a couple top colas. Didn’t find it anywhere else. Can I just cut this part off of the bud or is the whole bud trash❓If the bud is trash, what about the rest of the cola it came from❓As I said earlier, I only found it on the inside of a few tops. Glad I happened to crack it open while trimming otherwise I would have never known…7C23D70D-C0EA-4E60-89B8-F6294334FF32.jpeg

Oh man. That sucks.

Yeah that stuff is all over by now. It will keep spreading and growing while it dries even if you can't see it now.

I'd dry it fast. No slow drying and a long slow cure. It lives even after you chop the plant.

It’s been dry/curing for a while now just got around to trimming. It was chopped on 6/11/21 & it stays in a 60F/60rH dry room. I’m thinking this happened a couple weeks back when it got super hot over here & the room got up to 68F/60rH I quickly fixed the dry room but looks like damage was indeed done
