Desperate for external validation

So im growing my first run. I plan on growing on a 2 x 4 space 4 plants (on 300w LED chilled pucks btw).

I want to have a blanced grow (energizing, relaxing, and 50-50) my plan is to grow 2 ¨generic¨autos like GSC and blue dream by Fast Buds, and two photo periods (fem) originals, like GG4 by GG Strains and im a little unsure about the last one, maybe White OG by Karma, Ghost Train Haze by Rare Dankness, some Sorbet by DNA, something by Reserva or Cannarado, TGA, sweet seeds?

how would you rank these breeders´ consistency and quality? any others? I know a lot will suggest Bodhi, the rev, Humboldt, dinafem, but these are not available at where im buying.

please, please, please validate me. thanks!

Oh about that I have two ideas.. either suffer the consequences of lesser yield by putting them in 12 hours, or taking them out during sunlight and then putting them back at dark into the grow space. but dont know if thats too much hassle.

if it becomes too much risk for the plants inside, then ill just forget about that and make a diff space for autos at another time. but the question remains the same regarding the ranking and suggestions

Run at 18 hours on until the autos finish, then veg the photos until they consume the space freed by pulling the autos, then flip the lights.

I can appreciate the excitement but you are way overthinking it. just pick one strain and either photos or Autos. I'd stick w photos. just be patient. multiple strains is going to make things more difficult. just go slow.

out of all the strains you listed, I'd start with GG4. or any good indica that is on the shorter side of flowering. any haze is going to be 12 weeks minimum and sativas can be a little more finicky feeding wise. wait for those until you have a few cycles under your belt.

just do it, experiment that is what this hobby is all about. It is better you f up now and learn from it than to f up later when you got a bigger thing going.

By their nature, budding under 18+ hour light, properly optimized autoflowers will always outperform photoperiods. Energy in, bud out.

Before all of you freak out and flame me, the key word here is optimized. And optimization gets complicated. It is probably impossible to optimize a non space constrained grow for autoflowers for example. Infinite room => infinite vege of photoperiods => infinite yeild.

I agree with all of that, except that I think people who try to grow "GG4" from seed are setting themselves up for potential disappointment and confusion. I haven't seen many versions of GG from seed that mimic the real GG4 cut. Of the strains mentioned in the OP, I'd prolly go for DNA's Sorbet, even though I'm not really a big DNA fan. I got a freebe of their Sour Sorbet (Sour D x Sorbet) and it was excellent.

I'm sure the GG4 seeds will be decent, but will likely take a bit longer to flower than the clone. I wish I could find some decent pics of the Sour Sorbet, but truth be told, it smoked better than it looked.

Only GG cross ive ran is is Elmer's Glue (GG x The White) from Relentless, It was a banger & put me on my ass. Still don't know the real GG either but my next run with it will be some of @HydroRed 's GG crosses

I haven't grown GG from seed, so have no direct experience, however I have grown the clone several times, and what I see people growing from seed online generally doesn't represent the clone in my opinion. Sure you might get something similar, or perhaps even a better genotype that the GG4 clone itself. It's all a crapshoot. GG isn't a stabilized line, as far as I know. Personally I think you'd likey get a more stable line form one of Tony Green's backcrosses, if GG is really what you want. The thing is, there are very few stabilized seed lines these days. Most breeders are just pollen chuckers, crossing one elite clone with another elite clone. The genetics are there, you can find fine in those beens. However clones like GG4, Wedding Cake, and the real Blue Dream, are "unicorns". They are 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000 finds. The odds are against you that you will pop 4 seeds and find a unicorn, sorry to say. Don't get me wrong, you will likely get real good plants, just not unicorns. I only say this because when someone grown a seed version of an elite clone, I think they are setting themselves up for false expectations many times. Also the real GG4 clone is fairly particular. It seems to like lower nutes and lower light than some more indica strains typically do, however if one of your seed plants happens to be more indica dominant than the sativa leaning clone, then it will also likely need more nutes. Sorry, I guess I'm on a rant at this point, lol.
