Did it ????

I took about 6 leaves off yesterday because it seemed to be overwhelming with growth growing lopsided and was covering all of the new growth from getting lights for overnight it’s seemed to bounce back

Anyway, when should I start topping her ?

5 node on each side ?

You dont have much top there to ‘top’. I’d let it grow some leaves back & recover a bit, it’ll be a slow grow otherwise

I know it’s not ready to top... lol

I’m asking if the plant topped itself already on the first node hench the Y shape ? Don’t they usually grow straight up until you top it ? Then it forms a Y, making two flower sections ?

Or is it just the middle shaft is being shadowed from the top growth ? Making the middle grow slow and kinda deformed looking ?

The plant did not cut off its own top no
Lol I’m aware but I’ve seen a lot of people asking that and it kinda looked like it’s growing in split directions. I’m new to growing obviously. Atleast she’s growing short n stocky, staying green and not yellow so I guess I’m doing alright so far lol

I've seen that more than once with my crops. Plants, I think are like people.....same species.....some shot, tall, skinny, plump, some very different.i get a purple once in a Blue moon.

It generally requires an exterior input to top. Operator error. Use tap water and forget cal/mag fraud.

There's barely anything to that plant, why are you ripping leaves off of it?
1. This is my first plant to ever grow
2. Because I felt like the big fan leafs were blocking all of the light causing the middle to grow deformed and growing super slow..
3. Because I cannnn lol

They say you learn best and most of your knowledge from your first grow which I have learned about 10 things already

Believe it or not, this plant is 3 weeks old..

Also I just planted it inside the 5 gallon air pot about 6 maybe 7 days ago from a solo cup.. it had some roots at the bottom of the solo cup.. fast forward 6 days, the roots are now coming out of the bottom of the 5 gallon air pot which is around 13-15” tall ? I’m actually pretty amazed about that.. I’ve seen way worse, especially from first time growers

She’s gotta nice green, no yellow, growing thick pretty leaves, decent sized think trunk, decent thickness on the few branches, she’s not a string bean all stretched. Nice short and bushy

3 weeks you say? I believe it, it's extremely stunted. But you're right you can do whatever you want to your plant.

A cannabis plant can self top it's self, but I consider it a split mutation and not the plant topping its self. There was a Northern Lights cut being passed around in the late 80(s) in the western Mass area, that if you selfed her, plants grown from her seeds would do that more often than not! And I have seen it happen in many other strains to!

Tuck your leaves if needed dont cut off healthy leaves. It looks like it was topped by somebody to me.
It looks topped to me as well but it kinda has a mutated leaf coming up the middle stalk. It’s not getting much light. Should I cut whatever growth is up the middle or just see what it does ?

So 3 days later.. this is what she’s looking like now.. she’s finally gaining some pretty good growth now.. I’d say so.. I also just ordered 20 more seeds from North Atlantic seed company so basically this was my test plant to kinda say so. I believe I have a bit more knowledge to start my new plants. So I should see some pretty good growth from the new seeds.
