Let me know what you think.. and let me know if Im missing something and should possibly add something ?

Just finished doing the ceiling and hanging the lights. Just need to tack up the panda film and put panda film on the ceiling but I was thinking about getting a new 100’ sheet and getting a gallon of glue to “paint” onto the drywall and smooth the panda film Mylar on it so it’s perfect and smooth and won’t have any riffles or move with the wind from the fans

Wow! Nice! One question, pic#1, is that all electrical equipment for your grow room? I'm new, I'm just curious. Do you get to a point where you need 220 outlet?

Thanks and Yes, picture number one is All electrical for the grow room lol and no, just standard 120v but I put each 1000 watt light on their own 20 amp breaker

First gluing panda film to drywall sounds like a wallpaper nightmare in repairs from the 70's
The house isn't going to market well in that limited offering
Two
I grow in large rooms and have found easier and less permanent ways to attach panda
In the end it still gets splashed and stained and needs replaced
My preference remains flat white paint in bigger rooms

Your call just a heads up

Very nice. Im doing an open room grow with twin 600w HPS over approx 6 x 6 area in a 12x22 garage converted to a den. I didnt have anything to go by. Just some racks and some empty space and not much of a budget to start from the ground up. You have thought it out well. Im looking forward to seeing your future grow journals!

You have enough light to stretch it to 6 x 8 if you can squeeze it in
I use 600's open ballast and at three feet apart 6 x 8 is solid for two lights

All true. You don’t want it permanently attached. It’s disposable.

I actually remodel homes for a living and I built the 8x8 room myself.. plus I own own the home. Also, If I were to sell, I could either leave it up as a storage room or easily demo it within an hour. Either way, I might even have a mighty fine investment just within the 2x4s if these damn lumber prices keep going up LOL. Or maybe somebody would like a “hydroponics room” to grow their own garden indoors. Could grow some mightyyyy fine tomatoes haha

Dude you should see how many papers I used drawing this room up in alll kinds of ways lmao. I probably used an entire notebook. Not to mention, it took me 8 months to gather up and save up for all the equipment, with the pandemic and money being tight, less hours at work, if Any some weeks. Child support... bills and all that fun stuff but $5000 later!! This damn thing is done haha. Now hopefully I can get 12 plants in here and yield minimum for 6 pounds. Even 8-9 sounds better but I’ll settle for 6. Wait till you see what I build on the other side of my basement. 18’x8’ ( have the space to make it 8x24, really but I think 18 would be just fine) considering I’ll probably use that for a flowering only room growing 6 plants in there. And grow 6 plants in my 8x8’ room vegging, so if all goes as planned, I’ll probably put $10,000 into that room. 6-8x 600-800 watt LED lights, 24k btu 2 zone mini split, 6 oscillating fans, 8/10 burner Co2 Burner, 2x 8” ac infinity inline fans which I have already with 2x 8” ac infinity carbon filters which I have also just to filter the room while moving air flow around the room. Or I may upgrade and buy 2x 12” ac infinity and 2x 12” carbon filters. I also might go DWC with 6x 27-40 gallon totes in 10-12” plastic net pots with a 100-200 gallon res tank with a giant water cooler. Idk but it sounds amazing on paper lol we’ll see I guess.

So each box is 20 amp breaker? Do I need that for a ,5x5 tent? Maybe 6 plants? I'm ordering lighting this week.
My room is 8x8. And I currently have 4x 1000 watt HPS with air cooled hoods. Which is quite a bit.. gotta see how it goes and if I can maintain the right temps. If not I can always just grab 4x 600 watt HPS bulbs and turn my 4x ballasts down to 600 watts instead of 1000w

Also, each air cooled light is hooked up individually to 20 amp breakers.

Personally if I were you, I’d go for 2x 1000 watt. and you could get away with hooking each one up to a 15 amp breaker. Or both 1000 watts to a double 15 breaker. But in my opinion you might as well just hook them up to their own 20 amp breaker. You can get them on Amazon for $5 each Personally in a 5x5, I’d go with 8x plants. 4 plants kinda under each 1000 watt.
