I grow a spring crop in NW Florida, ie I grow through the winter. I lose plants to cold every year. But it has got to be really cold, or they haven't been hardened off yet. Most years my loses are small, but we had 17 frost before Christmas this year, when 2-3 are the average. I lost all of my first round.

I actually gave three Ass Cheese f2 away because I had killed so many. My buddy has a bit more protection than I do so I thought he might could keep them alive. But when he checked on them, they were all laying down, so he didn't look at them again. Not until they begin to smell three months later. Now we have a little smoke and some nice Ass Cheese f3 seeds.

The moral of the story, weed is tough.

Yes it is and all hardened off weeks ago, covered with newspaper to be safe! Easy peasy! Thanx for reply!

Lol. The frost never even got us. Were too far south :finger:

Its looking good now. AM, the time to transplant right in the ground. After they finish sucking up all the worm casting stew I poured in.
Id only do 2 or 3 in that garden, more room bigger they get. Unless pheno hunting?

0 deg celcius?

if so, you can take minimal precautions but to be safe you can lay a seed heating mat or a heating pad on low with a couple towels between it and the pots. Kinda need more deets to dole out advice though.

0 deg f is a different story... thats a deep freeze

I'm hadn't planned on putting them all in the one section. I built additional boxes. And I'm sure I'll be culling some males then adding some small clones along way. This was all kind of last minute. I put an indoor and out door together in a very short time. It was a lot of work but the majority is done. Plus it should be worth it in the end.
