This is going to sound stupid AF!!! LOL

I kinda disagree on this. I believe it's better for seeds to be on 24h light shedule the first week to force them to reach for the light.

Warmer stable temps is also crucial, you get more fluctuations in temp and humidity with starting out with 18/6. Seeds don't need high moisture either to sprout, 50% RH is enough.

I would arge to high RH, domes etc only create an environment for "damp of/wilting of" disease to flourish.
I germ my seeds straight in the soil. I soak for 18 hrs or so and put them in moist soil.

No light needed. Once they sprout yes they need the light. But a seed doesn't reach for the light. Not until it has germinated and opened to the COTYLEDONS
Can they use any form of light.

I agree on consistency of temps though.

lve used jiffys more than a few xs, once sprouted repot immediately, tap root needs to sink in, sounds vaguely familliar, heard from wastei or someone, l go 24 hr for seeds and clones, find it works best. Autos should be put in final pot to sprout. But lve tested this and found it didnt matter all that much. Open vents as soon as first sprout immerges, or remove lid. Moist not wet, good rule to follow. The tap root should be as deep as plant is tall. Hope you have a successful grow.

When I use jiffy pellets, my plants get a real good initial kick from them. Soaked seeds in a shot glass of water for 24hours in warm dark place until they cracked open and got a little taproot. Soak jiffy pellet in water for a few mins, squeeze out excess so it is just moist, slightly wet...dig 1/4 deep hole in top, place seed in and lightly cover with some of the pellet material. Put wet jiffy pellet inside a pot of soil and put 20in under 100watt light at 100% on 18/6 schedule and waited for it to pop.
Just curious but why use the pellet at all

Alright sounds like a plan I will definitely give this a try. Now what about the inline fan to control the heat in the tent? Cause I know just leaving the light on in my tent with it slightly open can get the temps in there up to around 88° f now have an ac infinity fan I can easily control the temperature an have abit more control over the humidity inside the tent as well.. but thanks for the advice!
Fans dont cool anything. They move air, period .

That's what I meant, initially. Freebies are freebies I get it. I only saw where you said "When I use jiffy pellets, my plants get a real good initial kick from them."(doesn't sound like 1 freebie) Kinda like soil you might of already had or were getting anyway. That was my point sorry if it offended you

The fact that you apologized for possibly offending him offended me.

Now see this is EXACTLY the reason I came on here an asked to see what people had to say (especially anyone with experience using the jiffy greenhouse kits),while reading up on the subject I kept running across the same thing.. everything is exactly the same up until the sunlight/grow light comes into play. An then I start to see a change in opinions, some say keep them under light others say keep them in the dark. Does it matter? ( Jiffy instructions say to keep it out of direct sunlight) I would imagine if I do this method it will be done in my tent an to do that I would have to use the light in order to get the temperatures closer to the 80 mark..an with that being said I have to question how long should the light stay on... 24, 18,. 12.. what?
When in doubt... look to nature. Does nature use jiffy kits?
