no idea. it's some kid that started dishwashing at my restaurant a couple months ago. all i know is that it was big. he said the main cola on one plant was the size of one of those big smart waters. another friend of mine's got 4 triangles growing. trying to convince him to sell me a clone. or 3 :)

hey, what temp is too hot to have the seedlings at? my grow surface goes from like 74-80. is this going to be too hot and turn the seeds male? i tried to keep my fan on it, but one of the sprouts is now leaning a little too far IMO

They should be good, but wait till they are a lil older, the fan is optional, Corvette doesnt use a fan, or test his ph, which the stock AG nutes buffer, and he dosnt check his room temp, he has it in a closet, alot like the one i have, i going to use a fan later on during the grow probably after the Veg or at the end,

ok, it's been 9 days from putting the seeds in the Ag. the smallest one seems to catching up now. so i put the fan on my little ones thinking i was doing them a favor and helping them strengthen. i guess i was wrong. they're going all gnarly. i turned the fan off at like 2pm and they're still all crooked. any suggestions to help them other than just wait? i feel that they're kind of spindly, but the light is on the lowest setting. i was thinking about getting a daylight bulb for my big cfl (hanging above ag in pic) so that i can get it right up on the seedlings and help them thicken up and stop reaching. pics below with the setup...

They look fine, i snapped the sliding bar off of mine, so i can hang it closer to the plants, and they will out grow taller then the light and extend up

yeah, in the first pic you can see my other cfl hangin above the unit. it's got a 2700k bulb in it for flowering. once i hit flower i'll use both lights. i might even put a daylight spectrum bulb in that other cfl and use it to help veg.

Yea im going add 2 CLF's during Veg with the stock Ag lights, but what are the usual Watts for that? i want to put a total of at least 8 CFL's, i was thinking of getting more smaller wattage bulbs to cover more aera instead of a couple big ones

the one i got is a heavy duty one. it's a 40w cfl that puts out the equiv. of a 150w halide. i'm going to put it over the plant once the hood is too short, and keep it vertical until then. maybe move it around day by day? i think i might put the ag hood underneath pointing up once it's too short for the plant? or should i just switch it to the sides?

well, the 2 that were leaning turned worse yesterday. i went to look at them and they were both laying down on the grow surface, but their heads were still pointed up. i put some skewers down into their pods and tied them up. hopefully that will help them. i WILL NOT be using a fan again until my plants are in flowering...if at all.

on another note though, 11 days old and the 2nd set of leaves just popped out. also, the short one is catching up more and more each day. for flowering nutrients, is there anything out there that can be used all the way through flowering, or do i have to get a stage by stage flowering agent? i was going to combine kool bloom with the flora series i'm already using, but have been looking at big bud also. feedback? discussion?

DUDE! Those plants are stretching! The lights are way to far away, can u lower them at all? Often stretched seedling will die, so u may want to try to prop them up with something and get the lights NO farther than an inch from the plants canopy.

look on ebay. there's a guy that sells the big cfl's w/ reflector for like 40 bucks with your choice of spectrum bulb in it.

i figured they were stretching. the aerogarden's all the way on the lowest setting tho. the other 3 are doing fine and don't seem to be having any problems. i'm not too worried though, bc if these don't work, i'm just going to buy a couple clones from a friend and go straight to flowering with those.

PS the fan has nothing to do with the stretching, the vans help ventilate and strengthen the stems. Until they start growing upright however I would discontinue use of the fan. Once they start growing upright again it may be a good idea to introduce the fan again.

I snapped the extension bar so i can lower the AG hood all the way down, just pull it out, then unscrew the one screw at the bottom, then just snap the 2 peices off of the hood

Well you can still save them, dont give up. Weed plants are resilient I have had a few encounters with near dead plants and reviving them. Do you have anything to prop them up with? And if you do is there anyway of bringing the plants closer to the lights?

Here is a pic of one of my grows that I was able to find which shows the farthest amount of space I let the light come between the plants tops.

See if you can do this n00604173, because they are worth saving. Just try to prop them up with something,a nd they will def straighten out. :peace:

yeah, they're tied up to bamboo skewers now. i'm going to go see about taking my light off the unit right now to lower it to the seedlings. thanks guuys!

about cloning...i can get some kush clones that are about a month older than mine. should i add them and conitnue vegging and flower all together, or should i get the clone, put it in a sep. pot, and go straight to flower?
